Probably good you resisted. You may think you had lots of ammo but you never know about the other guy. There's always someone with more dangerous stuff and way bigger and deadly. I would have saved the finger too.

I left the mounting area and top side powder coated.

I want the aluminum to oxidize.

    I believe it’s a AVS Areo Skin.
Works great no whistle and fits perfect and looks pretty slick.

Thanks! I’m running 265/70-17 Duratracs on 4Runner wheels, stock suspension. No rubbing. The 4R wheels are +10, so -10 offset would push the tires out another 3/4”. Also planning 1” - 1-1/2” lift with Bilstein 5100s and AAL.

First I’ve heard of bad CS but good to know and sorry to hear this happened to you . Fortunately I’ve had mine for a while with no issues. Although I’ve had some issues with other well known flashlight manufacturers so I guess it can happen with any . I really like Fenix also that’s a quality light I’ve had one for years that’s been very good to me and still going strong .

You might want to consider some 255/80/17's. I think you might be able to get away with getting the benefit of a taller tire without having to do as much as wider options. Maybe check out this thread.>> https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-skinny-on-skinny-tires.529656/page-322#post-29530991

Otherwise, 265/70/17's could work for now.

AWE Exhaust, KARTBOY exhaust hangers, custom 1/0 exhaust grounding, lots of Titanium hardware from my old builds, silly JDM bits from my old Subaru builds, Uniden Bearcat Off Road CB, Firestik 2 w/custom CF mount, custom KARTBOY plate frame with Rigid Ind Spot on ball head mount, Yakima Mega Warrior w/custom CF cross brace. ARP extended studs (not installed yet), Optima Red Top, Siless Insulation in cab. Diode Dynamics LEDs throughout... More titanium fasteners. K&N intake snorkus delete. Greddy hose clamps throughout. DBA 4000XS Brake Rotors. TRD PRO fogs. Dakine Tail Gate Pad. More to come of course.
I lied. Metric Grade 8 is impossible to source in the US. Went with 316 SS carriage bolts, SS spacers, and Ti nylok nuts. The Icon fitment is TIGHT. I like it. The outer bolt, nearest the hub is .25" too short. Get a 2.5" carriage bolt if you get this kit. Replaced some end link hardware with Ti as well.
Unsprung weight loss = better suspension performance.
