Gotcha. If somebody sends me one I can make a model and program to keep on hand for whenever someone needs one. Could run a small batch at first.. but I don't think it would be a highly sought after item. I'd rather just make them when needed.

If it’s helpful I can do a cold start after truck has been sitting 2 months… I don’t have a solid coupler and don’t have that marble-rolling-on-tile-floor sound.

 

Yes please. Every bearing is new, solid coupler, rotor pack is new as well. Makes max 7psi with a 2.85 pulley.

Just trying not to freak myself out that something is wrong. I am very noticable on any noise in any vehicle and this is new for me to have a sound like that and not think something is wrong.

After my conversion I was going crazy trying to track down a noise. But I'm like screw it if something is a problem it will go and I'll fix it then lol it's hard lol

 

Sounds fine to me, mine is very noisy with the hood open.

 

I have a 2.7 pulley, AFE intake, URD headers, JFR y pipe, 2.5” exhaust with high flow cat and magnaflow muffler and only see 6 psi

 

I didn't understand why my boost went down after my exhaust but now I do thanks to you guys and that's actually a good thing since it's less restrictive

 

Less boost more power ive heard

 

So I had a new problem popup today, did a WOT run getting on the highway and at about 75/80 it's like the acceleration just stopped for a minute and bucked. What am I dealing with here?

Truck didn't die I just left off and kept cruising at 65. No codes, no weird smells. Not sure what would cause that. First time this has happened.

Trans flared in 3rd gear today moderate throttle. Yay. Ive been beating on it pretty good the last week. I like to manual shift and keep the revs high instead of just letting it downshift when I want to go fast. This tranny is from an fj cruiser with about 140k on it

 

Lost fuel pressure for a second? Maf?

 

That might be it it was uphill pretty steep and I had about 4 gallons in the tank so maybe it was too low and getting sloshed around?

 

Possible, a dying sensor would throw a code most of the time. Ive seen weak primary 02s cause a sudden lean condition that causes a bog. Loss of fuel pressure would be more of a bog than a sudden bump, unless you were under boost I suppose

 

@IvanhoeTaco it sounds to me just fine. no matter how careful we are shit can just go wrong too. i say run it! boost with a 2.85 isnt jaw dropping, its just one notch better than stock. 7lbs isnt bad, intake, exhaust, and many other factors could help or hamper. youre good.

 

despite @JustDSM tuning mine i have occassional shift flare. seems to happen with autos. i have a shift kit but im still confused.

 

And chance you have a dirty air filter? Or some leaves got trapped against it?

 

fill the tank a bit and run the same route, same driving habbits, twice. then maybe you could rule out fuel starvation/ hiccups. my wooden nickel.
