Oh that is it?! Ok so it is fresh. The lines are still tough. If you can get the oil heated up in there it will make the line more pliable and will be able to rotate the resi easier.

I have Fox 2.5 Factory on mine...the resi mounting is a little different, but I had to slightly loosen the JIF connectors to get the hoses to go where I wanted them. You'll get a tiny bit of oil seepage, but not much if you loosen just enough to move...a second set of hands definitely helps.

I wouldn't be concerned about that, but you can adjust that hose to be sucked tighter toward the coilover. I had to do it once and never lost any oil or gas. You just have to be quick and loosen it just enough to move it, which isn't much.

    https://accutuneoffroad.com/which-fitting-can-i-adjust/

"The JIC Fitting has a nut that spins on a tube and relies on a tapered interference on the inside to seal fluid. (see images below) The shock should be depressurized when adjusting the JIC fitting. However for slight adjustments you can loosen the fitting while rotating the fitting. Rotate it quickly under tension, and retighten asap."

I’ll give this a go tonight then and get it taken care of. Thank you for the information.

What I would do, which has already been shared but just reiterating, is to have a wrench on the fitting with your right hand and have your left hand apply a decent amount of pressure on the hose, as if you were trying to move the hose without loosening it. Then slooooowly loosen the fitting with your right hand, while maintaining pressure with your left hand. As soon as the hose moves that little bit, tighten the fitting back up. It will be like 1/8 of a wrench turn to get the hose to move, it's not much.

For future reference, what shop are folks using for shock rebuilds?

That’s good to know. As a back up, has any one used Schmidty Racing Suspensions at all?

Kyle doesn't do them anymore last him and I spoke. There are a few people and places that do them in the valley though.

Would anyone actually put this on the head of their cat? This is a real product in a real store.

If you are in Tucson then Jameson motorsports will do it. That’s his IG. He works for ads and does a bunch of side work.
