maybe a wish bone upper? I had to cut my truss apart to remove the upper links. Both heims had a bent bolts lodged in them. So I might redo the whole setup

 

Progress is incremental but steady. Hopefully be far enough along this weekend with the bumper to post some meaningful update pics. Caster correction plates are supposed to come in today however, so that will supersede the bumper if and when they arrive.

 

Look at all that purty concrete! No more wrenching in the mud lol

Planning on it, spare tire on one side and ladder on the other to get up to the roof rack. But that won't be ready before Windrock. Not even sure sliders will be ready but we'll see.

I'm amazed she is able to function and blow this high. The highest I ever had a guy blow was in that range and he was a career drinker. He couldn't stand or speak intelligibly.

 

We had a college kid brought into the hospital where I was working security. He had fallen down a two story flight of stairs at a club without injury. .45 BAC on admission. On the verge of alcohol poisoning. He made it through with a couple of very upset parents waiting for him.

 

Clearly there's an issue going on in both of these instances...

 

Dave's product review: Got this for the garage. The 4runner doesn't fit all the way in the garage so I have to leave the door open to do work. It's kind of cold out there in case you haven't noticed. And handling metal tools in these conditions is just no bueno. I really wanted to finish the suspension lift, so I thought a heater would be great. What would be even better would be one of those fancy torpedo heaters. Bought this cheapie from the local orange place, hooked up the bottle and fired 'er up. So nice. Even made the concrete warm (nobody likes the piles). I eventually had to turn it off because I was sweating doing all that hard work. As long as this thing keeps working, I figure it's money well spent.

those do put out some heat! I believe I’ve heard them called salamanders

 

There was a kerosene version in the space where I worked on cars as a young man. We called it the leg burner. You could not stand close to it. Which reminds me of a good story with that thing.

So my space was under a tent in the back of a service station. There were two bays out there, mine and another's. We didn't have heat. The other dude was the one to bring in the leg burner. He goes on the Snap-On truck and purchases a $300 roll cart. It was made out of some kind of hard-core plastic. Was actually kind of nice. Welp, one day the roll cart rolled away and stopped in close proximity to the business end of the leg burner. It melted the roll cart something fierce. Broke your heart everytime you caught a glance of that horror story. The end.

I'm trying to figure out where salamander comes from.

 

I thought about something like that when I bought the kerosene heater, which doesn't work all that well even with the door closed. Hooked up to a large propane bottle?

 

Yeah. I ran it off a 20# bottle. Same ones you run a grill off of. I'm not sure of the total run time. I ran it for a few hours, and I'd estimate I used about half of the bottle. And that was on about halfway and low. It really puts out some heat. I had to move it a couple of times so I didn't catch myself on fire.

 

Would be great to have one of these in the tent while camping lol

So you're supposed to heat the outside?
