    Good evening all,

Some sporty weather in my area throughout the day, though not as bad as @US Marine & @BarcelonaTom67 had.

Good thoughts for your wife with her knee and you with the sore throat. Stay well.

Good grief Chuck, you have has some tough weather events since moving to TN. Hang in there Marine!

Dammit Andy, I hope you and your son get well soon.

Scott .... this is the start of the Spring time severe weather season for my area of Middle Tennessee. It lasts from March thru May

I live in a Severe weather prone area in the South called Dixie Alley . Over the past few years Tornado Alley has become less active and Dixie Alley has become more active

Here's a video of Dixie Alley...

    Well its 4am... Can't sleep.

multiple reasons. Poppy's surgery was a little more complicated than they thought. She's hurting pretty bad, so here on the couch with her. She cant have anything till 6am. Hope she will drink some water then & maybe some probiotic yogurt along with her first dose of meds.

Other reason is I'm kinda up in my feelings a bit. Every year at this time is tough, especially on leap years as it is the actual day. This day 24 years ago our first born Daughter Holli died from a brain bleed. She was 9. It had been a long road with many surgery's & health issues. This just happened out of the blue & totally unexpected. It wasn't quick or painless for her. Still tough to deal with. Words just don't cut it. People always tell you to be thankful for the time you did have. While that's what you should do.... Words are easy. They still don't cover any part of having your child die in your arms.
The only people who truly understand this are people who have went thru it. Even then? Unless you were actively involved & close with your child... It just doesn't seem to be the same. This is of course the perspective of someone who was verses how someone else may feel. One never knows how someone else feels in these situations. Unfortunately this is not a small club. Over the years I've come to meet many parents who have gone thru this. When you go thru this you can usually see that hurt in another parents eyes if they have been thru it. It's just something that you learn to read in someone. It crushes you in a way that many just never get over. Other people can move on.

I have been blessed with 2 more wonderful daughters since then. It's a given that they have never been taken for granted or under appreciated in any way. Neither was the sister they didn't get to meet.
It's hard to explain to them how you feel. Even though they are both adults & have seen close relatives die..... Just not the same. Even now at 55 & 24 years later, words just don't do it.

Gonna try to regain my typical stone face expression before anyone wakes up. Hug your kids & rub on your dogs. There are no guarantees how many more times you will get to. Be thankful for the ones you get.
