Mrs Gritto's gang of retired teachers gets together every month.
Different restaurant every month... been doing this for 7-8 years now.
So I've dined at (almost) every decent restaurant in the area, multiple times.

The only chain restaurant the group goes to is Olive Garden.
One could do worse

I think the group went there once, but that was one time I couldn't go.
Dunno why they didn't repeat.

BJ's is definitely a worthy option.
Nick's Airport Inn is another one. (upscale)

If one is willing to go 20 minutes out of town to the east, Tapias On Main in Middletown is excellent

Dan's in Boonsboro was good too, but they got run out from something woke I heard. The admiral took its place there, but I haven't been yet so i dont know, but i suspect good things. Also I've never been to the south mountain restaurant but I've heard lots of people go there too.

 

There's always the famed Pennsylvania Dutch market which was my test of truthfulness when I arrived here!

 

If you're willing to go south, sherpherdstown has some treasures too. Blue moon Cafe!
