Thanks! I read this thread on it and it seemed like 285 would fit. I've got about 1" of clearance between the front and rear of the wheel well lock-to-lock and completely clear of the UCAs. If I go over a real hard bump going pretty fast with the wheel turned at full lock then I might end up rubbing. But driving around down I tried to get it to rub on some bumps and driveways and couldn't get it to rub.

They are 32's so they aren't tall enough to hit the UCA, even with the extra width.

285/65/18's would be 33's and would require a lift.

 

its not all about the first number to determine the size the other two numbers mean a lot also

 

Thanks! It's one of Metal Miller's emblems. I originally had it painted, but went with Plasti-Dip when I did all of the grilles.

One question for you guys with AT tires. This morning was the first time I hit highway speeds since they were installed yesterday. The ride was a lot rougher than before. I figured it would be a little rougher from going with 18"s. I'm guessing it's a combination of 18"s and an AT tire?

When I get my lift (5100's, Eibach coils, AAL) will that help the ride?

 

What psi are you running them at?

 

I haven't checked. I'll have to check it at lunch.

Yes

The chalk test will get you the best setup for your rig, but generally speaking, 30-35 psi, somewhere in that range.

 

I'm at 36 right now. But, I also figured it out. I got up to highway speeds on another highway and it was smooth. So coming back from lunch, I circled back to the other highway and the lane I was in is all wavy when I saw it in the daylight. Kind of looked like some heavy machinery on tracks has been driving on that lane. I switched lanes and it was smooth. I switched back and it was rough again. Glad I figured that out. I was really worried maybe something might be wrong.

 

HA I hear that. I've driven on roads that made me sure my CV's were toast etc.

Others that made me think my tires lost all their balancing weights, even though road visually looked fine.

Lousy roads! At least off-road you expect it haha.
