It really gets me because what am I gonna do, not have electricity and gas? I'll happily go elsewhere for a lot of things but I can't do that with utilities...

Exactly. I haven’t spent much time looking at solar options but none of them appear cheap either.

They charge for that too, but that at least has multiple ingredients and took time to prepare. Plus I don't care for guacamole - avocados are like flavorless paste to me and it's off putting even when combined with other ingredients.

We're up to something like 33 cents per kwh between supply and delivery. Two people, 1500 sq ft ranch and we're usually at $175/month.

We used to partake in herbal parking lot shenanigans, go in and order a pitcher of beer and the 747 tray. I completely forgot about those days until you posted that picture! Seems like yesterday and a lifetime ago in the same moment.

Edit: Just looked it up - only fitting that building is now a dispensary.

It's probably been around 10 years since they moved across the street.

I liked it better when it was there. It had more character with a line out the door all the time and cramped tables.

Yup. Ticketbastard pulls the same shit now, as if the fee gouging isn't enough of an ass kicking.

I agree with the vote with your wallet and do practice it myself, though very few in today's world will do so in the first place. I do agree with you about the lack of options as well.

Turns out our new house location on top of a hill brings the wind with it. The rain chain gutter system is not ideal for us haha

    Brand new.
    Good Morning everyone,
    What is new lately?
I did a wrap on my front pro grille, i will post a photo Saturday.
It was my first time doing this, i used a heat gun. I did it by myself so for the most part it came out ok, I may paint the rest of the grille shinny black to match my truck or i may remove the wrap and toss the grille out.

We had a big rotted maple that was like 15 ft from the house taken down too and I am so glad I did.

There's shit down all over the roads here. The wind really was something last night, basically sustained at branch-killing speeds vs how we usually just get big gusts that do the job.

Everything melted into a nice level pool yesterday and then it froze hard overnight with a dusting of really crunchy snow.

Roads were clear and dry by the time I left the house and people were still doing 25 down the center line. Better that than doing the speed limit on hard ice, I suppose.

I don't partake and don't care what other people do and am all for the revenue, but it feels like people getting into that industry substitute their own reality sometimes.

Case in point - a group bought our abandoned mall for $8 million. The intent was to turn it into a cultivation facility. I couldn't see how it was a viable business plan - the overhead for a building of that size from the 80s has to be massive and we're already seeing dispensaries closing because there are just too many of them. But hey, I don't really know anything about commercial real estate or the real numbers behind an operation like that.

Turns out I wasn't wrong, they eventually went back to the town and said they're scrapping that plan, razing the building, and building senior housing instead. They stated their reasons were an "oversaturated market" and Target's objections to the original plan (they are adjoined to the abandoned mall and own their building and land). They also said they made mistakes going down that road and invested a lot into a building that they're now planning on tearing down.

Holy fukkles - I thought it was dying down this morning. Back up to hurricane levels again here in NW VT.... Cats turning into tumbleweeds....

Trees, yeah. I got roughly 400 of various sizes that could actually hit something if they fell the right way, only some that would damage. Gave up caring after not being able to get even one of four tree companies to show up and do their promised work on a few big ones.
