Every time it rains I get those rust marks under the door handles. who would’ve thought bare metal rusts! Not the Toyota T4R engineers!

 

It'll be interesting to see what broke. The transfer case and front diff are derivatives from 3rd gen, but Toyota may have changed the ADD actuator from a motor to a electromagnet like they did with the Tundra. If the ADD disengaged while in 4WD, there will be no torque going to either front wheel.

 

She definitely let go in some way...that was a pretty sickening sound.
