I’m ok with both. All the long railed rifles have stops but I’m trying a small afg on a pistol for the shorter length of rail I like it so far

    Congrats OP.

I 2nd the comment about it becoming an addiction. I just phased out of completing my 3 builds. I was at first going to purchase an already built AR like you did but than decided to build my own...closed my eyes and next thing you know I woke up with 3 full built AR's. I had to take a break from that to put money towards my Taco rebuild.

While the CA laws do suck compared to the free states, there are companies out there that make it possible to have an AR somewhat similar to the other states meaning with all the features.

This is one of my builds(Ca compliant)...

CA banning pistol grips on featureless ARs. You can have a pistol grip on a fixed mag however.

By law makers definition on ARs. The definition of an AR are indeed, thumbs.

Yea. I lived there for over 20 years, almost went back in 2005 after my divorce but I am glad I stayed in Pennsylvania. California is beautiful, most people were wonderful, but the state has gone off the freaking rails politically in the last 10 to 15 years. It was always a crazy place, but it's too far gone at this point to ever consider returning.

Canted gas block. It’s the m&p low pro with rails for front sights. Useless if your front sights are diagonal.

You definitely don’t use composite. I have a DD set ready to install as soon as I get it back. Pictures will be posted here :)

@Casper66 Quick update my guy. Got in touch with the customer service lead on Tuesday morning, he replied yesterday and said he'll do what he can to make something move. Just received a tracking# today and will receive the rifle tomorrow! Updated pictures to come!

Good deal! Sometimes it takes a little prodding to get things moving, it shouldn’t but it does. Really sucks to have this experience especially with your first one.
Have you looked at a weapon light or sling or anything yet?
