    Probably a 3.8 V6.

    For 2 years (82 & 83) Ford offered a 3.8 V6 engine as a credit option over the base 300 (4.9L) in line six.
I worked with a fellow who bought one used with very low miles from an estate.

It was the cheapest truck possible from Ford - 3.8, 3 speed on the wheel, short box, no radio, clear glass, manual brakes, rubber floor - the only option was power steering & he was thankful for that.

Like yours it was a genuine cow to drive offering moped like acceleration, it was quite good on gas though. :turtleride:

Older European cars often had 4 speed on the wheel, if you count reverse you would have 5.

Exactly it, Papa's did have a radio and power brakes, and steering, but it topped out at 75 mph. Which in hindsight was plenty for teenager, I still managed to get my first ticket in that truck within 6 weeks of getting my license... :burnrubber:54 in a 35

Pretty sure you and a hundred friends can jump and down on it with no issues. I sat on it. I stood on it. I jumped on it. Zero movement.

    Good morning Wrenchmen :hattip:

I was contemplating watching a movie last night, nodded off in the chair -
    - and woke up at 4:30.

    Slept unusually soundly. :notsure:

    That is a relief.

You have enough exciting things in the near future, good to have the job settled. :)

Woke up at 02:15 to the coyotes having a go and Mal moaning and barking. After about 5-15 minutes I turned on the spot lights it all quiet down and went back to sleep. Let Mal out and deer were sleeping up behind the house. I guess it was a safe place for them.

My mom found these recently and brought them to the kids. Apparently my brother and I forgot about em and never opened them.

I bought a 1980 Chevy truck from my father in law that had a 250 six cylinder and 3 on the tree. That truck was sick. Wouldn’t get out of its own way. I sold it shortly after :anonymous:
