Best polish/cleaner/protectant for chrome wheels??

Whats the best polish/cleaner/protectant for chrome wheels out there?

 

if they are not pitted or anything, clean them with the cleaner of your choice - optimum power clean at whatever dilution that is appropriate is what i use - i let it dwell then i wash them with my wheel/wheel well mitt. but people use acidic cleaners without issue. remember chrome is VERY hard/durable. a nice product to use because it can be diluted and yield a ton of cleaner for the money is meguiars wheel brightener. you buy a gallon for like 17 bucks and you get twenty 32oz bottles worth of QUALITY cleaner because it is supposed to be diluted 4:1 - 4 parts water to 1 part concentrate. just be careful with misting that shit because it's definitely acidic ; )

anyway,

once they are washed, clean and then dried...

mothers tub o' metal polish and a flannel towel to really perfect the finish.

wipe down with isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber to remove any remaining polish.

apply optimum opti-seal sealant and let cure.

if they are mildly MILDLY pitted, there are several things you can do after the wash/dry step that include 000 or 0000 steel wool and said mothers polish, then followed up with the flannel towel.

if you are looking for a basic care program...

spray with wheel brightener, wash with your soap and mitt, dry, and polish with optimum metal polish. that stuff has a protective sealant built in.
