And if you drive the way they do in commercials you’re going to destroy your truck in 2-3 days.

That’s not only false but would also be false advertising on Toyotas fault.

I have clearly stated in earlier posts that I am on a waiting list for a Trailhunter. The interaction with another poster is about hypotheticals. As is much of this forum. Your detective skills may seem better in your head than what is in reality.

“professional driver on a closed course” pretty much absolves them from whatever stupid shit they do in commercials.

Except their dealer is 1000 miles SE in Houston. The local dealer is going to tell them to pound salt.

Oh my mistake for interpreting the phrase "I have a truck under warranty" meant your truck was under warranty.

Any dealer will get paid for warranty work. You don’t have to go to the dealer you bought from.

Yes, I know. They’ll get it fixed but the local dealer isn’t going to give them the keys to a new truck. And I seriously doubt Toyota will take it and give them a new one. Jimmy Buffet might have had too many margaritas.

Anyone who watches TFL knows they only moderately push their vehicles. So far from "abuse". They have their little test course on property and most of it is light off-roading. At worst, they moderately push their vehicles, well within reason as evidenced by them rarely ever breaking anything.

Guys who really push their modified rigs like on the Rubicon and such, know what they're doing and are not surprised when something breaks. That's not what this is.

Because they really need to start testing it and not soft-roading on a snowy ant hill

That’s not what they do. They aren’t real off-roaders. They test new vehicles and occasionally will have a cheap old beater challenge.

Remember when you could just not care about trucks and do whatever you wanted?

Those times are over. I feel like old trucks had less barking more biting, new trucks are all OH SO MANY MODES AND ELECTRONICS its like so much barking and no bite

You can make a case for a 200 hp 250 torque V8 with a three speed automatic transmission.

oil cooler leak issues, rear main seal leak issues, oil pan gasket leak issues, $5,300 quote from local Jeep dealer to fix oil leaks. All with 55k miles on a 2 owner street driven Jeep. Great engine for sure.

We’ve also had three and the only problem we’ve had was a leaking water pump, which I don’t think is a problem directly related to the engine.

Bingo. Just what I was talking about. The oil cooler is attached to the plastic oil filter housing that cracks when people crank on the cap which should only be snug. When that happens oil pools up and ends up dripping where it looks like the rear main seal and oil pan is leaking but they're not. Many shops jump to that conclusion and change the seals only to discover after the customer pays big bucks, that it was only the oil filter housing. Should have tried a different shop. BTW, Dorman makes a metal oil filter/cooler housing.
This is what the OEM assy looks like.
