Wild Window

Today my door got ripped outta my hand in the wind . It didn't bend the door and it closes great . But the window will only go down a little bit . What did I bend inside of the door . Has anyone here been down this road before ?

 

^It's been reported before. The door check bracket is deformed and interfering with the window track. Remove the inner door panel and see if you can bend it back. You may have to replace the window track.

My dad was a pilot and would always preach that you park "into the wind!".

 

i never had a wild window before , but i had the door ripped out of my hand on a windy day

Thank you . I removed the inside door panel and seen what you mean by the track bent. I un bolted the front track and straightened the best I could. Put her back in and she works ! There is a little bump because I ain't got it perfectly straight . Um going to buy another window track on line .Then I should be good . At least I could fix it myself and didn't have to go to the dealer . Thank you 3J0H22A , hope you have a great day .
