    Stock. For now.
I ordered sooner than planned because of the clearance sale on the original racks. They have the “Pro” now which is a good upgrade, but I think the original will fit my needs just fine.

This peaks my interest. What are the reasons for these mods?

Mocking up the rear res. brackets after powder coating gold-chrome to match the Ti hardware throughout the truck. Ti bolts. CF spacers to keep the brackets off the frame. Etc. Actually, finally, purchased some Ti that was not leftovers from my Subarus. Bolts and washers for the axle side of the rear shocks. Talk about shit fitment. The Toyota hardware is sloppy back there already. The Icon/RagoFab hardware makes it up a bit with SAE but there is still a .32" gap around the bolt that the shock pivots on. This is crap at a critical pivot point and can lead to serious damage. Lame.
Bought several oiled bronze sleeves to see what works to make up the difference. Again, our vendors can do better.
Also figured out a way to use up a bunch of Ti on the Rago bed brackets. Work in progress with the bed storage trunks. I'm on the fence with these at this point. Not water tight. Kinda weird. They cover up critical points in the body and frame. I may toss them. Already sacrificed a tool kit because of the stupid lack of water resistance. Dumb on a "trail" truck. But, still useful. So....hmmm.20240301_141411.jpg 20240301_141425.jpg 20240301_141428.jpg

Went to the dealer and got the 24,000 km (15,000 mile) service, including "servicing" the K&N TRD engine air filter, and had them put on the summer shoes. Still winter here in BC (at least in the mountains and at the ski hills) but it's also March 01, and it was time.

Only able to do a wand wash at the local gas station, but as the weather warms, we'll get it cleaned up properly. (and to reply to the inevitable questions: TRD lift kit, TRD beadlocks 16x7.5 10 mm offset, Toyo MT 255/85)

I appreciate the thorough response! I'll have to follow your lead on this. I spent a while researching it too and couldn't figure out a reasonable way to prevent back feed to the circuit on the truck and then tabled it.

Been waiting for warmer weather to do this project, and now is the time because this is as clean and dead bug crust free as my Tacoma is ever going to be.

What was all involved in completing this? I really need to get my truck done once the weather warms up.

Busy day today, got my awning mounted and finished my fridge slide.

Installed my Overland Pros Wraptor 1k awning.
I went with this one over the OVS 180 Nomad because it's 5 feet long so that means I can toss in my truck bed when I go on road trips, plus it only weighs 30lbs. Gotta save those MPGs some how. Then when I arrive I can remount it. I used nuts to hold the mounting bolts in place when off the vehicle and have a knob nut to get the top holes mounted then use a normal lock nut to secure the bottom bolt. It's pretty easy to get on and off quickly and hell of a lot cheaper than buying a Racksbrax quick mount.

Clean your truck really well, then both products just spray on and buff off. The surface prep takes longer to do than the hybrid ceramic coating. For the ceramic I found having 2 drying microfibers on hand for buffing works best because as one gets damp I hang it on the windshield wiper to dry as I use the other one. The finish instantly feels soft and slick as you buff off the ceramic, a bit of work to do 2 coats but immediately satisfying.

This hybrid ceramic gets great reviews and stands up to torture tests extremely well, which is nice because it's also inexpensive and made in USA.

Been awhile, but this was the day after I picked her up. Feels great to be back in a Yota, and even better is the 3rd pedal. Don't get me wrong, my 4th gen 4runner was awesome, but man am I excited to build out my Taco.

Got around to upgrading the floor mats to Husky's. Love the quality of these.

And finally got to stop driving around in a fishbowl. Went with Llumar IRX 25% tint on all windows, with the rear's tinted over the factory tint to try to get it close to 5%.

Not the best photos, but after doing a lease buyout, I decided to add small things to take better care of it. Just added the door sill protectors
