my old boots are pretty worn from the lift. The red boots are made out of silicone. The boot slide mod is to prevent the ribs from further contacting each other on the inner cv! ….and the red boots also look bad ass kinda haha

Got it home and washed for the first time. Dealer was kind enough to leave that to me and avoid some swirls. One of the last few pros left in the country.

 

I got theHusky's in mine too. Much better than the weathertecks. You could have put 5% on the rear windows for a darker tint. Did you tint the windshield also?

 

Yea, putting 5% over the factory rears was an idea, but I was worried that'd be way too dark. Wanted to get right around 5% overall with the factory tint so I can still sort of make out things in the dark. No front windshield tint.

I wanted the same wheels, I ended up going with Kansei that loom similar. I’m not happy with the finish though as they scratch very easily. I noticed my wildpeaks vibrated a little until they wore in a bit.

 

Still look good. I really wanted tes but couldn’t justify the price this go around. The wildpeaks are good this my third set we have them on all our vehicles now.
Our trucks will look very similar as I’m getting a prinsu next and a bar lol

if it’s in the budget, it would be a good time to buy one. Ours do look a lot alike. I really considered getting a raise canopy but my wife liked the look of the cab height better. Also I figured I wouldn’t be sleeping in the canopy or spending much time inside of it being a short bed.

 

Eh, just changed the engine oil. Put in Amsoil because I have used it in all my previous cars since 2006, and found my local supplier with the EA synthetic filter. Cool stuff.

I traded in my XC90 for the Tacoma, I no longer needed room for six and a major mechanical issue started to rear its ugly head (Volvo resolved the issue in 2018, unfortunately I had a '16). I had friends that swore by Toyota pickups, and I had a '91 that I loved, my '22 DCLB Off Road is the bee's knees.

 

I always thought those were standard.

Wand wash. Thats all I have done in the last 2 years, that with about 80 offroad trips in that stretch and the salt and sand of course all winter. Eight mountain snow trips over the past 2 months. Lots of nasty mud on the lower 10km end of the FSRs, all chewed by active logging trucks. Those guys working in the deep snow right through the winter here.

I’m retired so weekly offroad trips into nature are my joy.

A really good wand wash here in Kelowna. Keeping this one secret so it does not get too busy. I wand wash after every offroad or camping and fishing trip. Just the pressure wand only, no brush or mitt.

2016 TRD OR with about 30,000 off road KM, and still has more shine on it than the other orange ones I see about town. Wand wash after every trip seems to be doing the trick as the paint is holding up well. Last time I waxed it was 7 months ago, so it should shine up nice on the next one.

Typical day outing pic and how it looks the past 2 years after only wand spray washing. No mud flaps in my case as they hook up on too many deep washouts and act like an anchor in deep mountain snow. Even after so many trips on crap trails the bottoms of the door panels still in good shape.
