    SAS with front leafs, nice.

i wouldn't say a waste, 4R owner absolutely wasted his money but the engineers, machinists, and mechanics made out like bandits were able to feed their kids and families!

the true waste is that all involved with that build should be shot because they could have solved so many more issues if they just didn't help the 4R. If they could have just put their efforts into something that could actually offroad. who knows, could have saved an old grandma stuck in the woods. we'd never know.

A few nuggets in the listing: https://carsandbids.com/auctions/9lkeGDmM/2018-toyota-4runner-trd-off-road-4x4

"Reserve not met, bid to $34,444"
"reportedly displayed at the 2021 SEMA show."
"There is a loan on this vehicle. Sale proceeds will be used to satisfy the loan and allow the seller to transfer the title to the winning bidder."

    This guy knows!

Not that I know anything. Looks like the weight of the basket is keeping it mostly level ish as the people are relatively light, since still a central pivot at the hook.

Is there any rules on max tilt?

I'm building some lift thing for the garage. Trying to go fairly light but like the design. But will it stay level is the question

You can for a crane and a person basket in your garage? Dammmmmmm!

The longer the cables going up to the hook the more level it will stay as the weight on it moves around. More low down ballast weight will help too

Don't laugh :) this is what I have so far. It should work for a basket/ platform.

^ thank you everyone. now since I'll only be taking max 100lbs or so at a time on this lifting thing dose that mean If I want to make a platform 4 ft. long and the lifting center would be 15" from one end then 15" to the other end would make the platform a perfect square. but my 4 ft. long platform would have another 18" over hang on the one side. dose that mean that I'll need 100lbs of counter weight ? seems like I would need less for some reason.
