Video attached. It sounds like a faint rattling/chirping sound. It mostly happens when the truck is in drive and accelerating. I could hear it very faintly in the engine bay while parked coming from the passenger side. I think it’s coming from the a/c compressor pulley but not totally sure. I found a minor oil leak from the oil filter bracket that will be taken care of over the weekend.

If it helps, I recently changed out steering rack bushings and UBJs. I haven’t checked but I’m like 99% sure I retorqued every bolt I undid during that job.

Get one of these and start poking around also can use a large screwdriver, place the head on the areas to check, your ear on the handle of screwdriver

    is the squeal ‘rotational’?

You can also cut a 2 liter bottle in half, poke a large screwdriver through the opening and it will amplify the sound like a megaphone. Makes things easier.

I think so? It’s definitely coming from top of the engine bay. If it’s something that rotates how would I get the stethoscope on it? I also saw a suggestion to pull the belt off and run the engine quickly and see if the sound stops

    Yep^^^

that stethoscope is a killer tool
    So for example
Let’s say you ‘suspect’ alt or AC compressor making noise

Just touch the housing of alt/compressor and you will definitely hear the issue
(No need to touch the spinning pulley)

I don't hear a squeal/chirping noise. In fact, sounds fine to me. :notsure:

I agree it’s probably hard to hear. It’s not too bad… yet. I’m about to pick up a stethoscope and figure out where it’s coming from

Thank you for the tip. That bearing sounds like it’s about to seize up. Reminds me of my longboarding days. Unfortunately I doubt I can clean this one
