Thanks, I've added to my list to check out. Now in stock locally at Sportsman's $195 with a rebate. Does it take the same rotary magazines for the Ruger 10/22? Looks like this is new model with everything there to mount a scope.

What is that material you've added to the grip?
Different color than what you are showing on the full sheet.
    "Grip Tape"? From what source?

I've bought a Glenfield model 75 carbine (Marlin 60 made for Western Auto) brand new in 1969. Came with a 4X scope, $65 OTD IIRC. A tree rat"s nightmare. Still got it, just upgraded the scope a year or so ago to a 3X9, since my eyes will be 70 yrs old this year...
It's still as accurate as ever, me, not so much...

I have one of those as well with an older Bushnell 3x9 scope. Yes, it is definitely a tack driver. One of my favorite rifles.

I also had a Bushnell 3x9 but the reticle failed so I replaced it with the vortex. This was my go to prairie dog gun until I bought my CZ 527 American in 223. It’s a tack driver as well with 50gr and below projectiles. Now no prairie dog is safe even beyond 200+ yards.

Beautiful rifle. What’s is it exactly? Did you do the stock or is it factory?

There is more to it than that. Several 10/22 models come with target barrels, chambers and the new BX trigger from the factory. They can be quite accurate. No, mine isn't as accurate as my Tikka T1x bolt action. But much better than tin can plinking.

Unless the cans are a long way off.

    The rifle:

    Ruger® 10/22® Carbine Autoloading Rifle Model 31173

    At 100 yards.

    And 200 yards

This is a CZ 527 223 with a mini Mauser action, box magazine, and a forward set trigger which reduces pull to just under 2lbs. It has a 1 in 12 twist which is why it prefers the lighter projectiles. But I’m good with that as I like the lighter bullets. The curly maple stock was a factory option and is what attracted me to the rifle. It Unfortunately was discontinued a few years back.

I’ve thought about getting a light sporter in .223. Your rifle is a great example. It looks very European and cool. Really eye catching. You can tell looking at it how nice it would be to shoot off-hand.

The fit and finish of this rifle is superb. CZ engineers some of the finest firearms. It is a dream to shoot. The micro Mauser action is butter smooth and the trigger is crisp. By far my favorite gun. Worth every penny of the investment.

I have a Howa .223 bolt action with the green rubberized stock. I converted it to a magazine feed. Great gun, shoots straight. No problems in the 5 years I've owned it.
Sold by Legacy Sports International. Japanese made I believe.
