I had the OTT tune done today. WOW what a difference! The truck is so much more fun to drive. Of the 4 different setting options, with 1 being the least aggressive and 4 the max, I went with number 2. The 50 minute highway drive home was much more enjoyable than the drive out!

Just added toolbox and roof-rack to haul my fishing boat 100's of miles into the backwoods every week. Goodrich K02s, Bilstein 5100 front and back, no lift.
They must have put some good paint on it. It is an early 2016. The original owner bought it at end of 2015.

I bought it used when it was 2.5 years old and it only had 6K miles on it. Put on 70K miles since. I have not worked in the past 8 years, so almost all of the miles the last 5.5 years with it are to and from fishing and exploring off road trips.

I like the idea more than the look. It’s taking me some getting used to but the useable space is amazing. I love the windoors don’t have them on my ram because it’s tall but this size truck the windoors I would never not get them. Only thing is I didn’t get the fold down back window even though I was told this camper shell had it. It doesn’t I would opt for that. Makes cleaning and everything else so much easier. All in all I’m pretty happy with it.

    Stock. For now.
I picked one up on closeout even though it wasn’t in the plan yet. $624 shipped with the light bar cutout.

yeah I’m right there too. I really like the idea of that extra space but the regular caps are so much more streamlined and don’t look as wonky.

Just got Sandy back from a local Wrap shop here in Omaha. They did a SUPER nice and professional job, really happy with the way it came out. With the extension of the "Ivan Stuart" style Heritage stripes on the back, it is a bit garish and not for everyone, but I do like the unique and this as far as I can tell is very unique, at least around here:

None to speak of, just enjoying it for the moment.
Just got a recall notification for my 2022. #24TB05 24TA05 (interim 24TB05) Potential Axle Shaft Separation

Anybody have this recall done on their Taco yet? Wondering what's involved.

    There' this...
    Description

Welding debris left on the ends of the rear axle assembly during manufacturing could cause certain retaining nuts to loosen over time and eventually fall off, potentially causing a part to separate from the axle.

    Remedy

Toyota is currently preparing the remedy for this issue. When the remedy is available, Toyota dealers will inspect the rear axle assembly and retighten the axle retaining nuts at no cost to customers. If axle components are damaged as a result of this condition, they will be repaired or replaced, if necessary, based on inspection criteria. Toyota estimates the remedy can be available in the second quarter of 2024.

It's odd and sort of the reverse, standing behind her now, being used to owning a tan truck, when your behind her it really looks like a hot rod red Taco.....until you pass her.
