I'm looking at options to place the heater and air conditioning system, plus batteries for my Go Fast Camper into the rear seat area (DCSB). I want to run two 60mm air ducts plus a few electrical connections (120V, 24V, 12V) from the cab of the truck into the bed.

I can't run air ducts through anywhere on the back of the cab, except through the rear sliding window. I don't want to go as far as cutting my cab up just yet. Has anyone on here had enough experience with the 3G tacoma power window mechanism to advise me on how to remove the small center piece of glass and replace it with a piece of Starboard (HDPE sheet) so I can cut some holes in the HDPE for the ducts and wires? From there it's a cinch. Just need to make sure there's enough play so the cab and bed can bump around a bit.

Perhaps instead, just put some flanges on your HDPE so you can ‘close’ the center window on it. Include a gasket or two and it should seal up pretty tight.

Best of both worlds. Set your board and close the window on it and you’re good to go. When you don’t need it or the camper is off, you’re back to OEM?

Why does everything have to be easier than I make it out to be ;)

No fretting my man. The number of times I’ve done something and looked at it afterwards and done a solid face-palm still continues to climb.

We all want to be utterly brilliant in our designs. And others just love to point out the flaws, mainly how much un-needed work was expended. :annoyed:

But do not worry ... your turn to provide the "constructive feedback" is coming.:cheers:
