Falken Rubitreks

I had Falken M/T’s in 255/85/16s and had 41000 miles on them but decided it was time for a change. They had plenty of tread left but the noise finally broke me. I’ve been doing more highway driving so I decided to go down to stock.

I bought the Falken Rubitreks in 265/70/16s from Simple Tire and I really like them. They look aggressive and handle well. Since I got rid of the big E rated mud tires my truck feels like it’s got some juice. Rubitreks aren’t as common so I just wanted to show some pictures to others who may be interested.

 

So what’s the difference between these and wild peaks ?

 

From what I understand, slight difference in the tread pattern and wild peaks are rated to last 5k more miles. But the Rubitreks are cheaper.

I have the same tire, replaced Wildpeaks with Rubitreks because of price (I paid $156/per tire a year and a half ago). 30k miles so far, they've been great tires.

Thanks for sharing. Not a lot of reviews on this tire. It seems like a good compromise for a slightly more road biased all-terrain tire.

Definitely and they still are aggressive. They handle great.

 

So, this might interest some of you that are on a budget. Sumitomo makes Falken tires and they just so happen to have a tire that is very, very similar.

I have Rubitreks on my Expedition and they are great. They will be going on the Tacoma when I get enough miles to justify getting rid of the stock Goodyears.
