Does this replace the plastic sheet that is normally on the inside of the door?

 

Well, it’s a down grade from my Tacoma for sure. It’s called a “Tonto” put together by Mitsubishi. It’s a small box van. And quite frankly, it reminds me of a clown car you see in small town parades. But it works.

 

Installed the Pop-n-Lock and flat tailgate panel this morning. Took me a couple hours, mainly because I kept getting sidetracked.
I got the plug and play version of the lock, so no wires to tap into. I also put a couple piece of Kilmat in the tailgate because I heard the lock is noisy. It isn’t too bad at all.
I got the tailgate panel new in box from someone local. It’s Hooke Road, not my first choice but for the price I couldn’t pass it up.

Also noticed all four corners of the truck are riding on the Sumos. I guess it’s about time for some suspension upgrades.

I upgraded the Entune firmware today. Next, try to figure out how to update the maps...

 

It does. I kept the foam insert pieces in place, however.

Yeah I built the bumper myself with a rogue fab tube bender. I wanted something different and I haven’t seen anybody with aluminum plating and the winch. I also did custom ditch lights in my mirrors

That’s outstanding work! I really like the old school style of the aluminum skid with the tube bumper.

Didn’t catch the ditch lights initially, but that is definitely unique! Well done.

 

Haha most people don’t notice them. I had a guy ask me if I was gonna do ditch lights while his hand was on my mirror and touching the light lol.

lol This is true it’s hard not to with all the new found power.

 

I've had people ask about gas MPG and I tell them the Tacoma gets low 20's. The driver, however, gets around 15 MPG.

 

Hahaha maybe going down hill with the wind at my back. With 35s and 5.29s I’m sitting at about 13.5 mpg but it does seem to be creeping up higher since the OTT tune. But I do also drive like a @$$hole haha
