    About 25K right now
I could get more out of them- 5K more until they are dead
But my experience has been when I get to about this point they are louder and not enough tread for the snow and off road that I want them for
My experience and use gets me about 25K and then I budget for a new set
These are my favorite MT so far in the 255 85 16 size
That said-I was going to try BFG MT as my next set- but this price point is too good to pass up on a 55 pound MT that I feel does well for what I’m asking it to do

    Geolandar X-AT's give you a little of both. no 255's but there's a 235/85r16
    Currently using the 265/75r16's.
Great off road and on. Not noticeably noisy.
    Bad on wet pavement.

I would recommend the at XD over the XAT. Mine have been excellent in varied conditions over our very mild winter

At the tire shop I was getting my X's and T's 'n D's mixed up and almost ordered those by accident.
The whole 'made for work vans' turned me away.

Definitely wouldn't hesitate to recommend them as an all around tire. Mine are studded as they are supposed to be dedicated winters bur they have seen snow ice mud gravel. Have somewhere around 10-15k "km" on them since October and no issues.

No doubts at all, these things are doo doo in rain. Have to watch your stopping distance.

Excellent side by side comparison.

What is you uca/chop situation? Notice much of a difference in drivability? Every time I'm shopping for tires I come back to 35's

Perhaps the vibrations are coming from the driveline. Did you do anything to lower the angle at the carrier bearing? The difference in ride height changes the angle of the driveline which is well known to cause vibrations. The difference in tire size is a ride height of about 2 in. 32.7 in tire to a 34.7 inch tire. This is significant. Normaly you have to put in some type of spacer at the carrier bearing to lower the angle.

Bigger tires won't change the geometry of the suspension, therefore, driveshaft angles won't change, either.

Okay so it's just a suspension lift that will change the angle and cause vibration.

Yeah like bkhlr said the suspension geometry remained the same since I did not move the axle position relative to the body. I did not have vibrations from my suspension lift when I was on the 33s. It was from the new tires. My lift probably isn't aggressive enough where it warrants the carrier bearing drop. At least I did not notice any vibrations in the driveline.

I missed the part about drivability. Going from 295 to the 35s wasn’t a change at all

Im not even interested in these since they’re a M/T tire but I found them for $231/ea. (285/75/16s)

Not sure I can turn that deal down.

How are the noise levels on the highway?

    And do they track well?

I am running 285/75/17 for close to 15 now. They took a couple tries to get correctly balanced at first but have been great since. Smooth on the street and track well. They have gotten a bit noisier in the last few thousand miles. Nothing too crazy. I don't really notice it unless I'm on smooth newer pavement and or driving a longer drive.

Dang, where did you find that deal?

I had them on my truck for a week or two before I swapped back to my all terrains (this was like a year ago).

They were about as noisy as my General Grabber ATXs, which are pretty aggressive for an all terrain tire and have some scalloping. The downsides I noticed coming from an all terrain where a drop in MPGs and braking/acceleration took a hit as well. I did go up a size also, so that was certainly part of the problem. The g003 is a fantastic tire though.

I went from a 265/75/16 all terrain to the 285 g003’s and ultimately decided to put my all terrains back on the truck. I have debated trying the g003s again in a 265 because they’re a very well made tire.
