TRD/ Magnuson 4.0 Supercharger Tips, Tricks, and Mods

Oof I think I need a trans cooler, just going up the grade in Julian with a quad I was hitting 230 going slow. Any driving tricks to keep it down? I was going about 30ish mph because it was raining but I made sure to keep it out of boost, or was that counter productive?

 

Def will want a bigger trans cooler. 4Lo will take some of it off. I was runin into that on hot days and low grades. Swapped the stock one for a larger one with a pusher fan. Mostly gone now. I may go to a bigger cooler.

 

I actually dont have a trans cooler I think, I dont have the tow package from the factory?

Still plugging away with belt slip issue. Yesterday I had the chance to fit the double bearing pulley to the Rousch tensioner I bought.
Trimmed the tensioner down with a dremmel and a flat file, and pressed out the inner collar of the pulley in the bench vise, measured and cut it with a copper pipe cutter, then pressed it back in.
The only thing holding me back from completing the job now is my inability to find a K050705RPM belt for sale anywhere. Hopefully these things will come back in stock soon.

 

Ahh if it’s an auto I would 1000% add one.

Trd pipe-> snow meth -> 76mm tb (85mm on the coupler side)

Probably will have to take off some length from the tube, but I'm mounting the TB directly to the s/c snout, no dapter

 

You will but that will mess with the maf scaling and make the truck run terrible.

 

also room wise mine is tight with the adapter and I cutoff 1/2" or so and its still super tight. Looks like you need 3 or 4" removed to fit.

haha indeed trucks going through some major updates right now and they had to drop the tank so figured lets get that sucker in.
