Does driving windy mountain roads void the warranty?

That's nothing. 2026 all US cars are required to have kill switches. The car will sense if you are drunk, pull over and kill the engine. We've got some wild and out of control tech coming our way.

Oh I know what you meant lol and I know what track insurance is.When you race almost 2 or 3 times a month or more track insurance is very expensive. Have you ever priced it ? you definitely wouldn’t be lol when you saw the rate hahaha .As much as I raced it would have been more then 1200 for the month . Yes a fraction Of the cost if you crash and yes it would definitely be cheaper if you did crash and had to pay for repairs . But when you add all your other expenses plus that then you have to factor in affordability and the risk factor. Fortunately I chose not to pay for the insurance since I raced for about 10 years with many bikes and never went down.

Very easy to say that what’s track insurance is for unless your the one that has to pay it….”lol”
It would probably be cheaper to buy a 4th gen Taco :D

Same here. I joined to learn more about the 4th gen and watch its progress. My 2023 ZR2 finally got its new axles under TSB/warranty.
With the numerous issues that left me with a dead truck 3 times, safety features not working most of the time, then the axle noises I did get the buyback. So in the meantime I will drive my ultra reliable 2nd gen Taco and watch how the 4th gen Taco makes out.
I'm sure it will be a great truck, just a few new release hiccups.

That will be great when that system malfunctions and leaves you stranded plus it will make vehicles even more expensive. We all get punished because a small portion of the population can’t stop drunk driving. The drunks will just drive old cars to avoid the new tech anyways.

Being a victim of a drunk driver I"m for any tech that will stop someone from driving intoxicated and killing a loved one.

But the true drunks aren’t going to buy a new car with that technology in it in the first place. 30 years from now you’ll be able to spot the drunks as they are driving around in 4th gen tacos.

I'm wondering how it would sense that a person is drunk without an onboard breathalyzer? If it picks up on erratic driving habits, my wife will never drive again.

I’ll continue to happily drive the square root of the fourth gen.

Oh, I wouldn't pay for track insurance on a bike either I just meant if you wanted to make a claim it was out there instead of fibbing to the insurance company. Now insuring the track Porshe or Vette thats another matter...lol

That's my thought as well. It's a good intention that will be poorly executed.

Last time I went through death valley, there was a particularly wavey road on the south side of the park. I had a trailer in tow and was purposefully shaving the apex here and there due to that. Truck got pissed, the coffee cup showed up and said "hey dumbass, take a break." If that coffee cup becomes the slosh monitor, I'm boned. Imagine being shut down, blocking a two lane road, in death valley, at noon.

It's a great idea, but again, implemented by emotion with no regard to the tech logic that needs to be the go/no-go for shutdown.

Oh there will be some mods all right
Can confirm, I got the coffee cup when I was driving in winter conditions. It was actually the first time I had ever seen it and my sister looked it up on her phone and it said it detects when you might be wondering while driving and here I am driving without the cruise with the road completely covered in snow I'm like bitch?!

From what I've read it sounds pretty bad, something simple like a mother dealing with kids in the car can shut it off.
