The Taco is a great daily run around truck, but for any real work need to step up to a full-size. 3/4-1 tons do ride like a brick. The 1/2 Tons have gotten so good though, if you don’t go too crazy with what you need to tow/haul. They are a good middle ground. Have better capacities than the 3/4 tons of the 70s and 80s. Crazy to think, 1/2 ton is really not a 1/2 ton anymore.

Have been looking at the Silverados too. When the new body style came out, most hated it, now that it took some time to grow, looks pretty sharp.

Sure do love the V8 and it sounds great. I love the spacious and comfortable cab it has. I do like how it looks as well.

The Lariat trim level I rented is real nice, but I would have to step down to the STX trim if I were to buy one.

That V8 sure does sound great, his had Magna Flows on it, little too loud for me. Stock is fine.

Go back and forth between the XL and STX, had consoles in all my Toyotas, not sure could live without one, need to step to the STX to get it. The ‘24 refresh is sharp looking, like the dash better than the new Tacoma too. Drive 20K+ miles a year, spend an awful lot of time looking at the dash than anything else.

Yeah the dash on the '23 Lariat is great. Not gonna lie, I like the animations that it has when you switch drive modes. The UI is very smooth to use.

Still all in my head… but I’m keeping the chrome bumper!
That’s a lot of Ford for this forum! Anyone bringing up “turd Gens” shouldn’t be bring a dog like an F-150 to the party. The only solid is their towing capacity… so you can tow your friends F-150, hoping he’ll return the favor.

I have to agree, had a 2006 NISMO and it was pure Fisher-Price.

Lol! I grew up in Ford’s, so have a soft spot for them, was the first in the family to buy “Jap Crap” when I brought a ‘85 4Runner home from the dealer, thought my dad was going to disown me. Dunno, Ford’s used to be POS, have gotten a lot better in recent years, and seems like Toyota’s quality has slipped few notches. So pretty much equal now!? Lol!

Yeah I've driven a '22 Frontier before and much prefer the interior of the Tacoma.

    Ha!

The Super Bowl commercial was kinda close (not as severe bouncing around, probably break it considering TFL broke theirs on pretty much nothing), did notice no one used that console “oh shit” handle though. Haha!
