there are plenty of 4wd trophy trucks now.
Being pointed uphill greatly exagerates it’s affects
And the speed if the drivetrain effects this, not how fast the truck is moving, spinning tires….

what Baja 1000 Race team is running 4x4 that placed in the top 5?

Got a video of another 4x4 Tacoma truck not moving with the tires barely turning on both axles and that the front end is raising up when in 4 low hardly even spinning the tires?

Not sure what you're wanting hear. The 4th gen Tacoma is magic?

You ever try taking off in a FWD car with the handbrake on? That will pretty well demonstrate what is happening.

except we are talking 4x4 drive, both axles spining simulatenously as posted in the TFL video from the camera mounted below the truck, not a one axle wonder with the ebrake pulled on the trailing axle.

Both axles spinning simultaneously on the front...when did they put a front locker on them?

I re watched the video, it does look like from the underneath view that about the time one of the wheels was going to lose power due to the wheel spin, the dreaded pop occurred.

In my college years I used to neutral drop my ek civic. Until one day I heard a huge bang when I did it.

I thought I blew the transmission, so I did an auto to manual swap. I wanted that anyways.

Upon removing the auto transmission, I found the cv axle had snapped just inside the trans. Even though the CV looked ok from the outside, it snapped inside. Transmission was perfectly fine, and even sold it to a friend.

Just trying to give you a clear example of how drive train power can act on the suspension/body.

I ment both axles as front and rear axles when using the transfer case for 4 low and then powered by each diff (both front and rear)... anyone that has put close to 500K miles on 3 gens of Tacomas knows there are no true OEM front lockers.

Are you trying to tell my I really only have a front drive honda civic and not a Tacoma 4x4 TRD off road?

You have heard about the Toyota brake simulated limited slip front diff right (auto LSD)?

Now something to think about.. if there was a problem or malfunction with the brake simulated limited slip front diff applying heavy braking force to both front tires while the front diff is trying to drive one or the other.. that torque wind up could raise the front of the truck up until one of the axles snaps internally with in the diff.. aleviating the torque wind up and the front end dropping back down to ride height

No, but you’re quickly becoming part of the top 5 people that can kiss my ass. I’m explaining that things like anti squat and anti lift affect the rise of the front of the truck under load. Would you have a better explanation to what’s going on? Can you answer the original question? I didn’t think so. Maybe these suspension characteristics are different than the third gen. Maybe they are so different that it sucks.

I would really love to hear you try and explain why the front would lift and then fall when it breaks tho.

Please link to the Tire Rack winter test of the BFG Trail Terrain. I do not see it.

Reminder, tires losing traction do not cause breakages. Tires gaining traction do.

Now all we need is for the vehicle to not drive when the owner doesn't really have auto insurance. Ugh. Back to the "broke action". :)

Some of those memes are labeled false because the term “kill switch” is not in the newly passed law that requires the development of impaired driving technology. Yes the bill does include this:

“Sec. 24220 of the law explicitly states: “[T]o ensure the prevention of alcohol-impaired driving fatalities, advanced drunk and impaired driving prevention technology must be standard equipment in all new passenger motor vehicles.”

The legislation then goes on to define the technology as a computer system that can “passively monitor the performance of a driver of a motor vehicle” and can “prevent or limit motor vehicle operation if an impairment is detected” (emphasis added).”
Sounds like it could indeed kill any attempt to drive if impaired. Wonder why the so called “fact check” sites hide this fact? ;)
    https://www.aier.org/article/fact-c...-you-on-the-feds-vehicle-kill-switch-mandate/

    Even the AP concedes:
“The law leaves most of the details up to NHTSA, specifying only that the technology should be equipped to passively monitor a driver’s behavior or blood alcohol concentration, as well as prevent or limit motor vehicle operation if the driver is impaired.”

KOH is entirely different enironment than the Baja 1000 trophy trucks endure.. which is what I referenced witnessing many times at Glamis sand dunes. Sand and flats are stricktly, if not 100%, rear wheel drive. KOH is all together another form of truck racing which wasn't really part of the focus.

How is talking about strictly rear wheel drive trucks at the glamis sand dunes relevant here.

I mean it’s a great story, you saw trucks at the dunes, amazing.

Are we saying TFL should have left the truck in 2WD and hit the trail at 100mph Baja style?

I stand by my hyperbolic claims for the tech involved and the timeline you stated. And calling anti drinking and driving technology out of control is flat out stupid, makes you sound like you are in favor of drinking and driving. Not a good look.

"Strassburger said his team is considering systems that could warn an impaired driver, prevent an impaired driver from moving the vehicle, or reduce the speed of the vehicle and get it safely home. He said the term “kill switch” is hyperbole, since none of the options being considered would include the risky move of lurching a fast-moving vehicle to an abrupt stop."

"National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, an agency under the Department of Transportation, three years to define which specific technologies cars should begin using. Once defined, automakers have between two and three years to comply."
