He probably would have paid 21% if thats what the dealer told him was the best they could do. He was desperate to get the truck so he could create great content for us like getting tint installed, and installing a spacer lift. :D

It makes him money because its content for him. May seem like a dumb idea on the outside to us but he makes a good bit off you tube views and there will probably be alot of eyeballs on the video which =more money in than out for him.

Ummm my anger towards ridiculous Youtubers in no way means I want to be a ridiculous Youtuber. Now I do have anger towards Powerball winners because it's not me. So to answer your question. Yes, I do buy many Powerball tickets to try to be a Powerball winner.

You gotta start somewhere. I remember when Max Powell was only getting 30k clicks on his videos now he's a fulltime Youtuber with a farm and other side businesses.

I think he has basically moved on to the side businesses at this point. His new videos don't have a lot of views and he doesn't post all that often. It pales compared to the 1 million+ views he used to get a few years ago. I heard he started a consulting business for people who want to grow on social media and, if that's true and that's where his focus is, that's a great career transition.

Maybe, he did a video showing he only made about $4100 off his sequoia and content.

Hopefully society at one point will get its head out of its a** and there will be a time when people will actually have to do something of meaning as a means of income, probably not but that’s the old in me talking.

I’ve heard a few YouTubers lately say that YouTube changed their payment structure and they are making a lot less money now. That’s got to suck and there’s nothing you can do about it.

They are grownups. They want eyeballs whether those eyeballs chirp back. Makes them more money. Don't worry about them, they don't care about you.

So many haters on here who talk shit just to cope. These are the same broke asses complaining about a 50k vehicle in the year 2024 and think they are qualified to give out financial advice to someone who can afford it easily. Hilarious.

Sounds like you have it all figured out. What are you doing on a Tacoma forum? A man of your means must surely drive a Lamborghini Ursus or a G Wagon.

People can gather information, compare notes, and come up with opinions. It helps with our decision making. Whether it is jealousy or not is up to each individual. This is a forum.

No jealousy. I take pride in my career choices from serving active duty in combat zones to being an ICU nurse and soon to be rural underserved community NP. Is it cool he gets money for basically reviewing new trucks sure but that’s not really something you look back on and am like wow look at what I did with my time here or a long term career option imho, too each their own.

Can he though? Being able to take out endless debt is not really affording anything. I would vouch most of us here can afford it easily but choosing not to cause we have more financial sense. I could pay my mortgage twice over and have a $1000 raptor payment or paid off new 2024 Tacoma but I choose not to cause I’m smarter than that, not a “broke ass” quite the opposite. 8.7% interest on a depreciating asset and constantly trading in will eventually catch up to you even if you make some money off YouTube clicks nor is it wise. But everyone has the right to justify how they spend their money or the banks…and just because we have rampant inflation, stagnant wages and soaring prices for less quality items as consumers and comment on that doesn’t make anyone here jealous or out of touch.

The “jealous broke ass” argument to justify bad financial decisions or purchases by others or make yourself feel better for that car payment definitely shows a lack of maturity or thought and always a played out response. Watched those same people pay over sticker on the Tundra forums and now over their heads in negative equity.
