That used to scare me to death... however, now it's the best thing that ever happened to me and not being married to my wife scares me more.

What scares me is any of these politicians becoming president..

    1. Sarah Palin
    2. Michelle Bachmann
    3. Rick Santorum
    4. Mike Huckabee
    5. Newt Gingrich
    6. Mitt Romney
    7. Tom Pawlenty
    8. Ron Paul

The first two REALLY scare me...

I'd take President Obama over any of these clowns

however, for the most part all politicians are the same...

If one says 'no' to it, who in their right mind can fear it? I can see being fearful of being manipulated into marriage, but that is a broader matter entirely.

I fear nothing under the sun, including matters of applied gynaecology. My time upon this wretched rock is short, what trifling cosmic matters could make me afraid?

Not to start a thread war, just want some clarification:

    So you're a Democrat, right?

    nope...non-religious independent

I will not vote for morons, anti-military, or those who indicate religious preference in any of their stances. So that rules out this entire field... only Ron Paul comes close except he is delusional pacifist.

what we really need is a central party that elects officials to be president/premier, and have annual five year plans that are decided by the highest up in government with consultation with the most knowledgeable economists to point our country and economy in the right direction.

    Fair enough.

The whole list was Republicans but a sitting president would, most likely, not have challengers at this point.

Observers can digest the information and decide for themselves.

    And yes...back on topic... ;)

x2, I think if you just eliminate campaign contributions all together... including personal income use. Then you'd solve about 50% of the problem.
