Hey guys. This morning I started my truck to warm it up before leaving for work. It seemed to idle fine. Though I didn't know there was a problem at the time, so I wasn't looking for one.

On my drive to work, I was coming to the first stop sign. I pushed in my clutch and the truck stalled.

I tested it a few times and got the same result. Each time id push the clutch in, the RPMs would shoot down to nothing and the engine would stall.

Then finally when I arrived at work, I parked and took a short clip of how it's idling. (GIF attachment Below)

Anyone have this happen to them?

My first thought would be something affecting the fuel supply -- fuel pump, filter....

Naw. No check engine light. And my truck only has 41,000 miles on it. Isn't the fuel filter inside the gas tank?

My 2019 OR did this with no check engine light as well. The dealership replaced the fuel pump and I haven't had a problem in years. This occurred about 5 months after a different dealership replaced the fuel pump per the recall. The 2nd dealership doesn't think the fuel pump was actually replaced for the recall at the first dealership even though it says it was in the system.

Man I'll be extatic if that's it after the scary stuff I just read on a supra forum about fried crankshafts. My heart sank.

Was that under warranty or is there a recall? I have only bad experiences with dealerships. They've always found their way out of fixing my stuff.

Fuel pump as mentioned or take off the intake tube and make sure there is nothing lodged in the throttle body.

Inside the intake plenum is a plastic flap that opens and closes the long and short intake runners. If that breaks, it could do something like above without a check engine light as there is no sensor to check it's position. Most of the time it will make one pop for a misfire though since it blocks the intake runners.

It might be a tank of bad gas consider that especially if it just started with no other problem after fill up.

Mine did this a few weeks ago. Brought to the dealer and on the way into the dealer it didn’t act up at all and ever since it hasn’t done it. Dealer said it could be bad fuel.

Well, I found the source of my issue. After seeing what Cloudlite mentioned, I thought about the intake that I have on my truck. I opened the hood, and there it is... the cone filter came off of the intake pipe. My fault. I neglected to put the two bolts in that fasten it to the heat shield.

I wiped the MAF sensor. Didn't seem like any dust came off of it. But after putting everything back together, I had no problems on the drive home.

Once again, I've proven to myself that im probably a special needs guy. I hope it wasn't like that for very long. :/
