I was gonna PM this to @AR15xAR10 but figured others might like to know too.

I have a small milling machine and use and end mill to mill the heads off the rivets to take the cars apart. Most people use a drill bit, but I don't care for the way the end of a drill bit digs into the base of the diecast.

I use Allen Button Head screws as they sit flush with the base when reassembled. You can order 100 of these stainless steel 2-56 screws for around $10 on A m a z o n.

When I mill off the head, I switch to the appropriate drill bit and drill straight down into the post, then tap the hole. It's tiny, tedious work but the best method in my opinion.

Never seen the Turismo series either. Saw those 3 at a local Walmart and scooped them up. I think I scored the EGs at a local grocery store here in south Tx. Thanks on the Buick Compliment. It is NA. I’ve owned it now for close to a decade. Rebuilt the motor when I first got it to refresh things a bit and then did another re fresh about 4 years ago. Today she sits with 150k on the clock. I got it at 100k. Those 3800’s are tanks. Kept it simple, straight piped from the downpipe back. Cat and res delete to a dual outlet magnaflow. Cold air intake and some other little goods and she’s good to go. Use to be my daily a few years back but now I take her out every few weeks or so to get the fluids flowing. Between that and my Taco I stay busy wrenching on em. Thankfully I’ve got a daily for work use so I don’t have to put the toys to work too much.

Looks like I have a couple Hot Wheels Gassers to start looking for. That reddish orange "Collector" 55 Chevy and the blue with gold 65 Comet that was just posted.

Decided to un wind from a gnarly work week and spend a little cash on some HW at my local Flea Market again. Scored some pretty nice ones that caught my eye. Really been digging the older gen stuff. Scored another Gulf nova to fill the spot that was empty from trading Kilo Charlie! Hope yall are having a peaceful Sunday.

That's awesome you found another Gulf Nova!

Can we see the two trucks at the bottom?

Is this flea market something that happens every weekend?

Super stoked I was able to find another Gulf Nova as well! Got lucky on that one. I believe I paid 5.00 for it. The 2 trucks on the bottom are a 63 studebaker and a Volkswagen Caddy. Really dug them both. Yes sir, flea markets down here in South Texas happen every Sat/Sunday. The main vendor I went to go see was unfortunately not there today but still scored some good ones. lol if he was there, then I would of spent a bit more money so thankful in a way he wasn’t!

Usually do some side work during the week to secure some HW funds. Helps a bit!

if you brush acetone or nail polish remover on the backside of the card and let it soak, the glue will de-bond the the blister will lift right off the card. Once dry, there is no evidence of the acetone.

I’ve seen this but haven’t tried it. Does it work on the premiums or just the mainlines? I like being able to “open and close” it.
