    we struck and ran him into a hell hole and treed,basically had to slide down the ridge it was so steep. back then our bunch managed well. only males and 300+ lbs. decided he was. my bud said bust his ass.we pulled the dogs off the tree and leashed them long story short,killing shot but he fell and ran into super thick laureal. bud was pissed ,im only one with a gun so me and him headed in. blood everywhere. had to crawl some its soo thick,got on him and shot. then dumbass up the hill let the damn dogs go. not suppose to do that. gets dogs tore up. he went into a deep creek drainage,Jim is yelling kill that SOB. he was in the creek but not dead,shot him in the head just as dogs went flying literally into the creek ditch. so,Jim is pumped,1st bear he ever struck,ran,and treed with only his dogs,cussed me for not hitting the brain at the tree,bout kicked Chris’s ass fir letting the dogs go.in the end everyone was pumped. when i shot in the laureal he was up,open mouth just like the mount and Jim and I were like 5yds from him. he said i earned my stripes for guts that day,to go in thicket and finish the job with him,no idea how to get out. ended up @ 2 1/2 mile drag.the one pic is a laureal thicketIMG_3813.jpgIMG_3814.jpg

    not finding many this year but the grandaughter gets it done again. and said she doesnt want to shed hunt no more,she wants to shoot hunt. Hell Yea! her 1st deer is coming. oh and we maybe see one and guide her toward it. then she says you all arent very good at this. LOLIMG_4144.jpg
