Likely nothing visible on the lift. But there’s no telling what those clowns did.

I wonder if Toyota requested radio silence from TFL?

The fact they haven’t posted a video of their inspection of the truck on a lift is weird.

Unless they include a bag of cash I would hope TFL would tell them to GFY.

    My choice is “riekers”:

"riekers" don't have the traction for serious off road use. Sandelreview.com say Chacos have the best all round traction for mixed terrain use.

I mean, I’m currently rocking these. I’m not proud of it. But it’s what I’m doing.

Ain't nothing wrong with keens. That's my "stumble out of the camper to go find a tree at 3AM" shoe.

That sounds cools, but my algorithm suggests competitive thumbnails. I just want to read about sandals though. I’m not interested in the TFL of sandals.

I see you modded the back, niiiice. I also would proudly rock these “keens”.

Maybe they are waiting for the whole thing to unfold before the release another video?

I would assume Toyota is going to treat this delicately. Almost half a million views of their new truck breaking on a basic snowy trail is for sure going to sway people away from buying a 4g.

I’ve got the mud terrain tread pattern. Works quite well. I just gotta throw her in 4Low and it’s good to go.

What never ceases to amaze me on Tacomaworld, as I've poked around the forums for over 13 years, is the huge variance in opinions lol. Some people seem to think TFL abused their truck and poor driving broke it. No fault of Toyota. I chuckle at that because I've watched them take dozens of vehicles up that same trail in every condition. Are they great technical off roaders... no. But if you're telling me it takes top notch off-road skill to not break a $50k+ truck on a trail as simple as that, we have a problem lol.

I also understand shit happens, random breaks happen, so I'm not really pointing a finger at Toyota. It sure as hell doesn't look good though especially considering what they've decided to charge for these trucks.

    I agree.

Regardless of whatever they did before this snowy video, most consumers are going to only see this video and see a new 50k Tacoma break its driveline on a trail a Subaru outback could get up.

It 100% would make me think twice before buying one.

What else do you expect? Being naive?

No doubt if they swapped drivers, it would not have happened.

Good thing for Toyota, it happened with a driver who has very little patience. He did them a favor!
