Why do you keep bringing up patience? What does that even mean? Should he have sat there and waited til spring and the snow melted?

Soon Toyota will add a warning label to the truck. “Warning: Using 4WD may break 4WD”

Idk toyota has some explaining to do. Im glad I bought my third gen when I did. I think the new ones are cool but they def have some bugs to work out.

And i dont know i think the new engine is cool. I like turbos! But at the same time I do love me a good bulletproof NA v6

I think you can be assured that they called Toyota prior to taking it to "a Denver dealership". And, Toyota called that dealership to stay in control of the transaction. I would be interested in the transcript of that conversation between TFL and Toyota. A conversation had to have taken place if "within an hour" the front drive train was off the vehicle and being prepared for shipment to another Toyota diagnostic facility. These things do not just happen.

I also suspect that anything released from TFL will be pre-approved by Toyota. The biggest question is when will anything be known? Weeks? (Never?). As someone else labeled this forum a "viper pit" I am not certain I want to wait that long!

    (Special guest star! Sheldon.)

Why would any release from TFL need to be Toyota approved? TFL bought the truck with their own money. What benefit is it to TFL to obey by what Toyota says? You think Toyota will get mad and not approve the repair lol. It would be like dumping gas on the fire lol.

At least my 3rd gen can make it to grocery store in the snow without the 4wd system failing..

It's possible there's nothing obvious visible now and 4WD works again, and if they took it to the dealer, they'd get an "unable to duplicate customer concern".

I bet the truck is still at the dealer waiting on a solution and TFL is going to wait until it's all sorted out to make a video.

TFL has access to a lift. If something is obviously broken, they'd make a video and milk the views before taking it to a dealer.

It was confirmed earlier in this thread that there was a break and the part has been shipped from the dealer to Toyota to diagnose. My guess is there isn't a readily available part and that TFL is waiting for an answer before posting.

In the video they mention how they didn't see anything broken or any fluid. Why bother taking a bunch of stuff apart when they can just have the dealer do it.

Exactly. TFL will get even more publicity if Toyota is a dick about it.

TFL is gonna get the clicks no matter what happens. TFL 100% has the upper hand in this situation. It's a win win for their youtube channel.

That’s far too logical and not a big enough conspiracy.
