I was looking at the side shot of your truck a few minutes ago. What was the issue with the mud? I didn’t see the gap you mentioned.

My bigger tires stick out about 2" past the mud flaps, and the sides of my truck are getting obliterated by mud as if I had no mud flaps at all.

Husky and Weathertech don’t have flaps listed for the 2024 yet. I bet you can find some from the flexible makers. Rokblokz are popular.

I have Weathertech on my 2021.

    Oval tube steps help, too.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm for sure shopping for rock sliders next.

The wider Rokblokz should do the trick.

No, 2024. It was this one here:
    https://www.hendrickbuford.com/inve...-four-wheel-drive-crew-cab-1gcptdek0r1113932/

They don't have any 2023s left on their lot that they list. Was only this one and one other Z71. Again, listed at $52k but I would not have considered it for anything over $42k when you compare it against the equivalently priced Tacoma 2024.

What $42K Tacoma is equivalent to a Z71?

Chevy and Toyota are running neck and neck for ugliest seat patterns.

So, they wanted $52k. I compared that to a $52k limited if you look above. Z71 lost out in sooo many ways so it needs to be $42k at best to get me interested.

A Z71 is not comparable to a Limited. A Denali is comparable.

Wouldnt think with the factory offset they would poke even with a bigger tire size. Not much you can do now besides the stock guards or a flexible option you can just install yourself (never a fan of look of those). Wonder if its more the more aggressive ATs you went to than as much the size.

Plus a Premium isn't even $55k! I've found several at the base Premium price.

Oh my gosh guys, you don't get it at all. I don't care what trim is comparible as I was going by price. They want $52k for their Z71. Ok, then what does Toyota offer for $52k? Oh yeah, the "Limited". In that comparison the Z71 is blown away. Hence I told dealer the Z71 would have to be more like $42k to be attractive. Not a hard concept to understand but apparently it is. Sheesh. I can only imagine the GMC dealer wants $70k for their Denali. They are, in short, crazy and hence become the best Toyota salesmen around.

You shop in a vastly different manner than most I feel. I can find ZR2 and Denali trucks under MSRP, making the ZR2 the "better value". Just because you found 1 bad GMC dealer and 1 meh Toyota dealer doesn't make it a fair comparison. Tacoma Limited and Denali go head to head in features and price, I believe MSRP is within a few hundred of each other. Not sure why you would not consider that in your "comparison by price".

Maybe the GMC/Chevy dealers around here are just super terrible. I know one Denali a month or so ago they were asking over 70k but honestly not looked since and don't plan to look further as only would consider GMC/Chevy if I got a lot of savings by doing so. I can't imagine others don't say, "hey, what could I get for the same price or less" when looking at a particular vehicle. To me that just makes sense. Anyways, seems overall Toyota, despite being overprice imo for the Tacomas still represent a better deal then at least you get from Chevrolet.
