    I miss mod days :pout:

I remember riding my R1 up in northern AZ with a bunch of friends. The cops might give you the lights, but they generally wont even start the car. They're simply hiding themselves and looking for true idiots.:bikewheelie:

Plenty of close calls as a younger man up in Flagstaff on an R6. Thankfully never had any troubles.

I'm convinced you have to be doing 100+ to get pulled over here. I was right behind a charger going about 90-95 the other weekend on 101 and we blew by a cop parked on the side and he didn't even pull out. I thought for sure one of us was getting popped.

Dammit. Water softener shit the bed. We were having weird flow issues with the whole house plumbing and it turns out the softener was the problem.

Anybody have a softener they can recommend?

Good, if you're on that side of town. Also Mama Burger opened back up today if that is a viable option.

I had one in my early 20s. Got hit with a reckless driving for speeding and spent 3 days in jail and a $500 fine. Sold it and haven’t had anything fast since, I’m lucky to be alive.

I was caught going 100 in a 55 but had just slowed down from doing 150.

ZX6R, bought it from a guy who raced it at the track. It was dyno tuned to 128 wheel HP.

My dumb 21 year old ass thought it would be funny to make a joke to the cop about the only speeding ticket I've ever gotten...

I was clocked at 88 miles an hour. I made a back to the future joke.

    I got arrested.

Luckily they basically just said "stfu and dont do it ever again" , lowered it to non criminal speeding, fined me, and cut me loose.

I caught a criminal speed on the 101 from a salt river cop. That was an expensive fine and three points on my license not worth the trouble of going fast for that

What brand is that? Are those rivets on the engine skid correlated to some kind of bump you can use as a jack point?

Have a similar one to this:

Back in late '09 (IIRC) I was eastbound on I-8 just west of Yuma, at like 2 am, and I decided to see how fast this old, heavily modified, BMW I had could go.

Ended up hitting 187 mph. Cruised at that speed for what seemed like an eternity, but was probably maybe 15 seconds.

To slow down I just let off of the accelerator and let the engine braking bring my speed down.

Before I had slowed down back to the speed limit I passed a cop on the side of the road at ~120. They immediately pulled out and chased me down to pull me over.

Gave me one helluva talking to and then let me go. No idea how I got so lucky.

Had I kept the accelerator depressed for another ~10 seconds I would have flown past those guys at damn near 200 mph. Haha

Lucky to be alive too. I was too reckless as a youngin'.

That's exactly what I did. That was the fastest I'd ever gone and was not about to learn braking characteristics at that speed, so I just let off the throttle. What's stupid is I was cruising at 100 for a good minute because there were hardly any cars around and that 100 felt slow. I was on a huge bridge so didn't have a lot of points of reference to feel fast.
