You can bet that Toyota is giving Toyota Fanboy Life the absolute Royal treatment; much better than any of us could ever dream of. They'll roll out the red carpet for Roman & crew, work day and night to get it fixed, and test it to make sure it's 100% fixed before returning the truck to them. Us? We get the "We'll get to it when we get to it. It may or may not be fixed when we call and tell you it's ready to be picked up." And I get it, TFL has a bid audience, so they're going to cater to them.

Surely you're not calling what TFL drove in, when the Tacoma poo-poo'd the bed, as tough conditions are you? ("deep winter snow and rocks like that")
That was a very mild trail with a little bit of snow on it. They've driven that same trail many times before. Apologies if I've completely misread your post.

Dunno what brand they are, but all that's missing are the black calf-length socks.

You only get that when you pay $20K more for the Pro than the other models?

Only the upper echelon deserves a fuel tank that can't be easily tampered with. The peasants will just have to deal with the other peasants trying to siphon or dump sugar in their tank.

The 4Runner had a fuel door popper up to 2009, then lost it due to cost cutting.

At this rate the Taco might even get hood struts by 2030!

Am I getting made fun of for getting a couple spots on the rubicon?
I guide runs for the TLCA event, I know the trail well, and I take a spot when I can get one. Guess I’m still an amateur tho.

And that’s some wild imagination, rip a bumper off, poke a hole in the radiator :rofl:but I do say popping a bead sounds scary:eek:

So you don’t have the money to play with trucks, I’m sorry.

You want a ride in my big diesel cruiser?

Things the 4Runner lost from the 4th gen refresh to the 5th generation (that I can name off the top of my head):

    1) drivers side grab handle
    2) burger tray
    3) fuel door popper
    4) LED tail lights*
    5) projector headlights*
    6) V8 & towing capacity
    7) dual sun visors
    8) proper extending sun visors
    9) integrated window antenna*

*Toyota did bring these items back with the 5th gen refresh.

It was improper machining at the Kentucky plant. One person caused a lot of bad press. Mid-2023 and newer I wouldn't even worry about it.

Good thing I joined the Forum so I can learn about skanky sandals and fishing reel fossils. Let me know when we get back on the subject eh? Mods are falling down on the job.

Yep. I haven't had a failure in 5-6 years...and I do dumb shit. Something about a little finesse that goes a long way. Now I'm not always a saint either. Sometimes it definitely is "hold my beer" and put dents in the floorboard under the fuel pedal.

Of course nobody gets vids of this guy.
