Nice! Time for some install pics  Side note, what is your current suspension setup, and what are you doing with it now that you got the Fox setup?

I’m pumped. Hope to get the bumper on this weekend or next. Squishy stuff will still be a bit.

Currently I’m running the 2nd gen Pro Bilstein kit, stock uppers and 3leaf AAL. It’s essentially TRD branded non-adjustable 6112s and 5160s.

I honestly haven’t really decided what I’ll do with that setup. With nearly 50k miles on them they probably aren’t worth enough to try and sell. It may be worthwhile for me to keep them as a backup set for if/when I need to get the Fox rebuilt.

Who knows. I may end up selling the Fox stuff if it sits too long hahaha. Also will depend on how much, and if, my current setup sags once the bumper/winch go on.

Maybe I'm thinking of a different guy?

BDS. I wouldn't put them in the "reasonably priced" category, but they are owned by the same parent company as Fox and carry a "no questions asked lifetime warranty." I started a thread on all the reasons why I went with them. I'll see if I can find it.

Score. I plan to go with the Fox setup that "requires" UCAs after my Toytec BOSS kit wears out.

No need to hunt my freind, I actually found and read it during my TW searching after I posted the above.

BDS is certainly on my radar. Pricing will likely be a big factor in my decision.

I haven't taken a photo of them on the truck by my UCA's came in and are installed. I also found I had a bad inner tie rod endand replaced that at the same time. I got and alignment and now my truck is driving so much better. It sucks I wore the inner edge of my tire down some before I figured out what all the problems were.

So I never realized I'd have to pay taxes on my Tacoma if I wanted to change my registration from Texas to Georgia...it's really making me want to just sell the truck now instead. Other than CarMax for a base value, anywhere else I can take it to see what I can value it at to test waters? I'd rather part it out but there's soo much and I hardly have any stock parts, or the labor to do it all.

Yeah I was never expecting that, or even 60% value of the parts themselves. Just wondering where I can take it to get a reliable value with how it sits now.

Post some pictures and we can all give you a guess on what's it worth. I've worked at a Honda dealership most of my adult life and they always say added accessories add no value to a trade in. Can actually lower the value sometimes. Selling to an individual who wants the accessories is the best bet.

Bit of a kick in the pants for sure, but wouldn’t buying a new/new to you vehicle also result in paying GA sales taxes?

Yep. And probably more. They go by book value (transferred title) or sold price (new purchase) not counting mods, etc.
I got my truck in KY (local dealers would not take TEMNA form on the Taco), and paid tax, when I registered it in GA.

I'll try to post some pics and write up the details because the vehicle has a very interesting history that I'm sure will effect the value. I was at Toyota getting my front brakes done, and talked to a sales rep about a GR Corolla they had coming in. At first he only valued the truck at 11k trade-in, then went up to 16k. Still felt undervalued, but I'm sure it's cause they were low balling me to make up for not marking up the GRC. It's a 2017 TRD off road, but only 2wd with locker, 5.29s and so much more. Private sale is the way I'm gonna go for sure because dealers don't want a modded up truck like mine, they're just gonna send it to auction and get whatever they can for it. They dont even care if it's for a loss because they'll write it off.

I wouldn't be so rash about it, but I haven't been working since November and it's been eating at my savings. I have another vehicle to drive, so I won't buy a replacement for the taco until I'm in a better financial state again.

    Same crap everyone else got
Take the cost of your mods minus labor and cut it in half. Then add that to the nada value and that's is what you're shooting for.
Why not just keep it registered in TX like it has been for the past few years?

Looking for a good restaurant for lunch in Blue Ridge/ Ellijay area. Any suggestions? Kinda leaning toward the Cajun place in Elijay at the moment, anybody tried it?

Wish I could but I changed my license over to GA to register the Honda when I got it. I'd have to change back to a Texas license again to renew the TX registration. I didn't expect to pay taxes for the truck when I was just switching the registration, thought it was only when you're trying to register a vehicle you just purchased.

I really just wanna see what I could get if I sold the truck and then decide if it's worth keeping or not. But trust me, I do wanna keep it

Shoot me a text with your vin and mileage and I can tell you what my work would value it, what the trade in value is, what the private sell value is. We have to do this with every car we finance for collateral values.
