dark clouds are just now moving in here in Western PA north of Pittsburgh. Guess I won't be cooking dinner over an open fire tonight

Best mileage I ever got was a 1994 civic hatchback CX. Totally base. No power steering, wipers had low and high, 13” wheels. I got 45-52mpg out of that thing. 1-5l single cam 5 speed.

 

I was surprised in our 2023 Camry with the 4 cylinder non hybrid. Coming to work it was showing almost 40mpg. And that's in a mid sized car.

I love the new Camry. Especially the pearl white/black combo. Can’t talk the fiancé into one though. I won’t complain if she buys a 4R or GX though. Hell I might even help pay for it

When we were in high school, my friend's parents had a Civic hatchback in the mid to late 70s. I remember him driving a bunch of us home after a beer party and I somehow got shoved in the back, at 6'1". That little car did get great gas mileage but it didn't have much power. I had to drive it once because my friend had a little too much to drink.
