What does a wrap cost in comparison to a respray? Just wondering. Assuming a wrap would be more durable???

Wraps are still pretty expensive and supposedly last 5-7 years.

A high quality respray tends to be more expensive. I've seen wrap quotes of $2k-$6k, and paint of $2k-$10k.

Pros and cons of doing either. A wrap is less permanent, meaning changing it up later could be easier, and offers more flexibility in design details. Probably get 3-5 years out of a wrap, depending on use. Paint will typically be more durable, especially with a professional grade ceramic coating, but costs more to do a quality job due to labor time.

+1 vote for the OD green, I've always liked that scheme. Wrap it first, then if you like it down the road I'd spray it in Raptor for more permanence. Make a green Sooty, you know you want to!

I really like the 80's in beige, or tan. I'd match the Taco before I'd go army green. But, I'm a bit of a weirdo, so take it with a grain of salt.

    Question...

Guys, I'm thinking about ordering fogs for the 4Runner (fucking finally!). I have a little cash to spend and want to buy something nice before I waste it on bills or something stupid.

Anywho, I'm obviously getting SS3's, yellow. I'm thinking about just going with the Sports, because I've heard that the cutoff on the PRO's isn't as good, and the MAX's are a tad pricey.

IIRC, a few of the members here are running SS3's, so I'm curious who's running the Sports, and how do you like them?

Green. Matte green is even hotter.

I've had dirty thoughts of all matte green and black someday when I get around to the Audi A3. Kind of a little rat rod rocket...

Matte black is tough to pull off. It looks awesome on some vehicles, and terrible on others, IMO.

Speaking of dirty thoughts...this is the shade of green I have in mind. I sent a message to The FJ Company, asking for a color code. Though, they probably won't respond to a plebian like me (their custom restorations go for a whopping $225k).

Pulling it off is one thing. Keeping it clean, another.
Everything shows up....water drops, fingerprints, light scratches. Can't buff to hard or you'll gloss it up.
I only used windex to keep that sportster clean.
Maybe it was just a bad paint job, idk?

Pat I think it’s a sign that you asked for our color opinion on National Absinthe Day which I’m told is today by a reliable calendar source. Absinthe, green fairy, OD green FJ80.

I'm really torn on this. Like James I tend to like the 80's in beige or tan, but you already have that covered with the Tacoma. I do like the green of that FJ tho...

Keep in mind this is coming from someone who happens to have 2 Tacomas in the driveway with paint matched wheels so my aesthetic abilities are questionable.

I have the sports and love them. They work great for the suburban/exurban roads I drive on, and being so close to the lake I get to use them a decent amount.
Only downside is that the sports don't get hot enough to melt snow should you be out in a serious storm for an extended period.

I don't think you would be disappointed.

Awesome! Thank you! I'm thinking about ordering them asap and getting them delivered to my Mom's in Florida so I can put them in while I'm down there.

Probably going through Hotshot. I better get on it.
