Has anyone done the newer style TRD Pro only orange color on a first gen or older model Tacoma?

I'd find it very hard to justify painting a 20 year old Taco. Personally. I finally got enough patina on mine after 15 years to not worry about pin striping it in the brush. Don't want to go back to worrying about paint again. It's like having another kid. Back to diapers. :D

I really like that kind of light “Army Green” color of the new tacos!

And as far as painting a 20-yr old truck: if you want it, DOIT! Hell, I had a 1947 Jeep CJ2A that I put $15,000 into, and THEN painted it a chrome yellow, was sweet!

Yeah, I'd like to see one in the new blue or primer grey colors. I hate the orange and lime green, but that's just MHO. It may actually look good on a first gen, who knows! But yeah, I'd paint a 20 year old truck in a heartbeat, if I had the money to do so.

I’d love to see one redone in that color. Might be something I’ll do to mine way down the line, but not anytime soon

Its not the new Solar Octane or whatever they call it now, but the '98 TRD had orange as a color if you want to go period correct - Copper Canyon Mica. There's a guy on Instagram who has one (@pedaldown4x4). It has a weird color-shift effect from the few pictures I've seen of them.
With that being said it costs a good deal more to change the color than it does to do the same.
