If your front differential is leaking where the front driveshaft connects, most likely your pinion seal needs to be replaced. I replaced mine, this is my story…

Tacoma front differential pinion seal part #90311-41015.
    Rubber faces out

4x 14mm bolts and 14mm nuts to remove the driveshaft from the pinion flange. Front driveshaft will spin, so spin it to easily access each nut and bolt.

Use pry bar to separate driveshaft from pinion flange.

Zip tie the driveshaft up to the bracket directly above.

count how many threads are exposed on the pinion past the nut as the nut will need to be set in the same exact position.

Use a flat head/chisel that’s narrow enough to fit in the key way of the pinion to work back the section of the nut that was staked.
Once the nut can safely clear the pinions threads, use the a 30mm socket and impact to remove the nut.

With the nut off use a puller( I used a 3 jaw puller) to remove the pinion flange.

Check flange for scarring/pitting replace if necessary.

Use a seal puller to remove the pinion seal, oil will come out.

Clean the surface that the new seal will mate against.
    upload_2024-3-5_22-20-6.png
Hand place the new seal as evenly as possible. Rubber side will face out of the differential house.
    upload_2024-3-5_22-20-53.png
Use a seal driver to set the new seal fully in place.
    upload_2024-3-5_22-22-23.png
Place the pinion flange back on the pinion.
Align pinion nut exactly to it original spot and thread depth.

Stake the nut back onto the pinion.
Set driveshaft back on the pinion flange, reinstall 4) 14mm nuts and bolts.
Remove 10mm hex fill plug and top off any lost oil 75/90.
