Reference cards have a shit ton of screws; it's alright I got time to kill

Plus this thing has never been apart so it could definitely benefit from a cleaning and fresh paste

    Here's all that old dust

    20240305_124121.jpg

Quick blast of air outside and it's already much cleaner

    20240305_125951.jpg

    Oof, crusty as hell

    20240305_130145.jpg

    Same with the heatsink

    20240305_130147.jpg

All cleaned up and ready for paste

Arctic has been my go-to for many years so I've always got a few tubes of the stuff

Put the baby down to sleep

Instead of going to the bedroom to play some Helldivers 2, I go to the kitchen

    Wife "whatcha doing?"

Me "doing what I can't do during the day"

Course she busts up laughing, 11 month old takes all hours of my day, got so much energy! :bananadead:

Just needs an SSD, an OS, and she's done.

I'll replace the front fans with Noctua just like I added for the rear; wasn't sure what kind of grey it was but I'm digging it!

Sitting here with a 1 week old on my chest. It has zero energy and still manages to keep me busy all day haha.

Helldivers 2 that good? Been hearing a lot of hype about it, but not sure if it’s like palworld where everyone will move on after a week or two.

Your kid is going to need a role model, and what better role model than a Helldiver?

I've been considering it. How's the gameplay loop?

    Do.it.

The enemies even on the same difficulty really utilize the map to flank you and whatnot.

Raising difficulty brings new enemies as well as making the current ones you dealt with even harder.

New worlds do bring new environments, terrain, night/day cycles, weather, etc.

There are a few gripes with randoms but I normally just host my own with success. Playing solo is just as fun, you just tend to play a harder difficulty with it others.

Best of all, only $40 unlike your typical $60 titles.

Just wait. They want $70+ nowadays for what they call 'AAAA' games.

That'll be GTA6, well more like $60 for the regular version, $80 for the deluxe, and Steam would probably bundle it with other GTA titles for $100

The extra PCs I'm building will really be dedicated to older games I'll either replay, or haven't played through before

Still got Fallout New Vegas to go through, I'll play all the Assassin's Creed games again, Battlefield, and more

Main PC is for the latest games

I played New vegas all the way through and then my save glitched and all the normally passive npcs in the end area attacked me so I could only get a bad end. :(
    (left intentionally vague for you)

    That suuuuuucks

I only made it to the Casino (made the robot the sheriff) and stopped. That save is on my cloud which is cool.

Fallout 3 is too old to save on the cloud, but I just did my first play-through a few months ago

    Fun AF

Idk if I ever played all the way through 3. All I really remember is 'THIS IS 3 DOG, COMING TO YOU LIVE FROM THE CAPITAL WASTELAND!' or whatever lol

FO3 and New Vegas are some of my all time favorite games, alongside Diablo 2. I don't even know how many hours I've put into those combined. I'm still slowly climbing my way through Starfield as a nice casual single player game.

Are you one of those "multiple play-throughs on Starfield" type?

Still only have the same singular save, but am on my first "new game+". So kind of? I like the way they've done the system and they tie it to the storyline really, really, well. Gives you the option after the first run to either skip the main story line entirely and rack up more stats and perks, or go through it all again and make different decisions while still keeping the same powers, and unlocking new dialogue and game options as a result of your... "decision" (trying to keep it spoiler free).

My biggest gripe has been the lack of extensive weapon/armor customization options, especially compared to New Vegas. Just feels shallow. I'm pumped to see what Shattered Space brings.
