I'm at oil can Henrys looking to get front diff, rear diff, and tranny oil changed. They quoted me $202. Does this sound right or should I keep looking around?

And also what exactly is a tranny flush

they always try to get you to do stuff, and they charge way too much, at least around here.

    Is that transfer case also?
$200 isn't terrible for a shop considering gear oil isn't cheap and their labor rate is probably $80-100/hr depending on where you live. Obviously you could save yourself $100 if you did it yourself but I doubt you'll find a shop to do it much cheaper than that.

I agree that price is not at all absurd for changing all those things.

Hell a synthetic oil change along can be like 80$+ sometimes.

If they are doing a transmission fllush as well I say go for it.

Called the dealership and they charge $170 to do it and $170 for a tranny flush. Doesnt sound to bad for me, bought it with 55,000 miles and currently has 87,000 miles and havnt done any of the listed above.

the tranny isnt suppose to be changed untill 100k. and I wouldnt have anyone do it other than the dealer. there is no fill plug under the hood and I wouldnt trust some quick lube shop to do it
