I sealed it from the inside. I doubt it is accessible from the outside (inside of the fender).

I bet some dust and water get up in there. I don't worry about it though.

I did just spend serious time getting incredibly muddy in Baja, very close to being stuck (twice), and so much of the underside of my truck was caked in mud. But up there in the fenders was not one of those locations.

So I’m slowly getting the leaks figured out. It rained pretty good today so I crawled in the bed to check the leak situation, I got the upper bed corners sealed and now discovered that there appears to be a leak coming from the ends of the top bed rail. Anybody have to deal with a leak like this?

Update on original post. I was going to seal with Sika as Mr E30 suggested but decided on a different approach. Since the leak is caused by the tire splashing water on top of the bed where the metal side panels attach to the plastic tub I cut a piece of vinyl sheet material and placed it where it would block the splashing water, worked great

Yeah, no kidding! I had a 2020 SR and after I got the upper corners of the bed sealed I had zero leaks, this 2023 is more of a challenge

It's so weird to me how Toyota totally whiffs on the bed leakage problem. Such a simple thing and I would not have anticipated this problem. my truck cap is already installed and no I am looking to pull it off and start over with some kind of water sealing efforts.

    Oh the irony....

Since my truck bed was leaking, I took my trusty MSR 3-person tent camping this week. Last night it began to rain - light and steady - a nice, soaking kinda rain that you can fall asleep to. About 5 am, I was awakened by water pooling on my sleeping bag. It seems the rain fly on my tent has gone to crap and it wicked the water through to the tent body, and the whole interior was one big swimming pool. Sleeping bags, pillow, cot, boots, clothes--all soaked. UGH!! I've used that tent successfully for years and it has withstood rain on at least 2 trips without fail. I still blame TOYOTA for this because if the truck bed didn't leak, I'd have slept high and dry on my nifty sleeping platform.
