Moose River Plains in the ADKs is one of the biggest areas, but the gates are usually closed until late May so the roads can dry out. Then once you get in there, there isn't a ton of exploring you can do via truck. Granted, the camping, swimming spots, and hiking are all awesome, if you like being by yourself. The roads are long, but not super exciting. Easy enough that I bring my camper in there every year. Unfortunately, there is so much private land in the ADKs that exploring via trucks is pretty limited. There are some places out there though.

But - if you are in this area, there is so much more truck exploring that you can do to the south/south east. Tons of State land, and the roads are everything from paved, to needing 4wd. Again, you need to live being by yourself, as there is nothing around. At all. My family has some land in the south Otselic area. I did a 60 mile trip from the property last year on my KTM, and only 14 miles of it were on paved road. Keep heading south and you will get to BHM Offroad, which is always a fun day.

I have a KD Max tune several years old on my 2020 TRD 4x4. Are there any updates? Master-Yota did the tune but now he does another brand tune. He told me once I paid for the original I would go into a national database and could get updates or re-flashes for a small fee in the future.

Yes. The tune has definitely been updated since then. Shoot me a message here or via text at 518-742-9332 and I can fill you in on the details.

Alright anyone still watching this thread, I need an alignment shop that can set SPC uppers in the capital region. Little bear in Buchanon has been recommended a bunch but they're only open mon-fri and I would be about to get down until May, hoping I can find something closer and is open on weekends?

Anyone close to Brewster want to trade a cement passenger fender for my cement passenger fender with Dobinson snorkel?

Just putting this out there for anyone who may be in need, I am located in Saratoga county and can help with tire mounting and Road Force Balancing as well as TPMS programming on weekends, not typically available weekdays though.

You ever find a good shop for an alignment? I need an alignment done on my truck that is still stock but would prefer a capable specialty shop rather than a chain or dealership. After speaking with a tech from an equipment supplier, I am leaning towards express auto repair in clifton park, since it sounds like they not only have the latest and greatest equipment, they can actually use it and care enough to do the job right.

My manager recommended a place in Queensbury where they have a guy who deals solely in alignments and is pretty booked usually. Haven't been yet, been slacking in that regard, but I was gonna call them up and see if he'd deal with SPCs. I'll let you know what they say!

Warren tire in Queensbury, my manager just brought his new to him r32 to get all 4 aligned and he says they knocked it out of the park. Called up and asked if they could do SPCs and they said yes, we'll find out soon enough I guess lol

Oh yeah, the Warren Tires up here generally have a solid reputation. They are honest, with fair pricing. That's usually who I send folks to that are looking for general auto repairs or tires.

The big challenge with our trucks is the lower control arm adjusters tend to seize in pretty short order. It's what has prevented me from spending money on a small lift for my 2019. I know when the alignment is done, those cams will almost certainly be seized, and then I'm adding lower control arms and all the hardware to the cost of the lift!
