    Those are the “poors” trim.

I actually like the clean pane of glass.

Oh dang these 4th gen prices are too high in my opinion. The price for that Off-road is at the a similar price point with the new Ranger Raptors.

Greed will be the downfall of America sadly.

I get the MSRP and understand they won’t budge off that NOW but for the dealer tacking on that extra money. They should be persecuted and publicly shamed and any idiot that pays above MSRP for a truck should have their head examined.

I didn't ignore anything. Those features are already accounted for in the price of the base Tacoma past SR. The 43k for a base OR in itself isn't a bad deal with all the stuff you mentioned. It's what is not there that makes it bad.

The 3rd gen came with a full tank of gas at 21 gallons. The 4th gen comes with 6 gallons. So it's not 3 gallons difference.

I decided to skip the space saving spare temporary tire though to protect some feefee's.

Dual climate control was standard on EVERY V6 3rd gen at some point in the run. Moving it to an almost 9k option package is straight greed IMO. Lack of power seat at 45k is a joke. Removing the power slider must be mentioned as well.

Is the 4th gen better than my truck, pretty sure yeah it is. Is the 4th gen better than every other truck in the 50k range? I have my doubts.

I’m about to pick up a 2021 Trd sport long bed with 25,000 miles. I bought it site unseen but before they did the paperwork I drove up to check it out. The vehicle has studded tires, they never mentioned it and didn’t know until I pointed it out. I happened to buy it within an hour of them posting it on their website so I gave them some slack.

I can’t use studded tires and they wanted to charge me for four new tires… I’m like you didn’t advertise that they were studded tires I am paying what you’re asking for it and not negotiating. I’m not asking for much except for getting the vehicle that you’re selling with four usable tires.

At the end of the day dealers suck and greed is king it seems.

    Please.

What I care about is value and when someone shows a Monroney sticker and then someone pipes up with "a better truck for $600!!, sign me up" when it's comparing apples to oranges is going to get a response.

Or are we not doing unfair comparisons anymore?

Showing the window sticker from an uplevel truck then comparing it to a base and trying to say it's the same price is misleading as hell. It's like comparing a Z71 to a limited.

The fact you can already get a 4th gen discounted should have been the end of this discussion.

    So was my '17 lol.

43k in today dollars. Base OR today.... 43k. It's great Toyota was able to maintain that, I just hate how they did it.

Agreed! My kids love the sliding glass, but I would love to have the solid pane on my truck. It also would be one less silly button on my dash that never gets used.

    Not just Tundra Tacomas too.
My 2016 was totaled in July. I was unable to find a suitable replacement - rarely saw 2016 or 17 on a lot. So decided to go newer- insurance hardly paid anything. Forget about it when they hit the lot they were gone by second day. Had to increase my search parameters to 175-200 miles from home. ( TRD OffRoad ) SR easier to find. The prices were unbelievably high. It took me better than 6 months to find a dealership with more than one. And the out the door price ouch!! Now I need to get my necessary accessories, but cost of them are high enough that I need to wait. It’s insane!!!!
