I sat in one last weekend and wasn't impressed. Looking at Dobisons MRR on mine this year.

That’s one of the kits I was thinking about. Well those and Kings. I have a nice leaf pack and SPC UCAs.

I have Ironman foam cells and while I have no real issues, they are on the too stiff side. I might add a few hundred pounds in the bed to see what it does, since sand bags or pavers are cheap.

Edit to add also looking at the Bilstien 8112 and 8100

also, just dreams and big ideas right now.

@hyrule_trd What tires would you get if you went to 35’s?

I’ve not looked much at others brands or sizes since tires would probably be the last part of the plan. Those are just under 35 but close enough and maybe I could get away with a cmc and not a relocate.

Nice, yeah those are very likely going to be my next tire as well. Seems like you can’t go wrong with them.

Oh no no, I’m not brave enough for that lol. I also think I drive too much and don’t do enough wheeling to justify it. I’ll probably do 265/75/16’s again or the 255’s.

    :sawzall::sawzall::welder:

lol I hear you. I don’t do enough wheeling either and when I have to go into work it’s a 70-90 mile drive so the mpg hit will suck.

I’m planning to drop my 255s off for a balance check before I put them back on sometime this month.

    Morning all…

Wont you have to cut out the factory crossmember and bolt in a drop style? Like a RC or ProComp 6” lift to clear 35’s? I don’t know, that’s just what I’ve gathered from reading clearance issues. If not, I may want to reconsider my very close tire purchase and bump up a few sizes!!

No. Just a cab mount chop and maybe trim fenders. And a 3" lift

    Morning all

To add on a little to @fatfurious2 you'll also need to beat/bend the pinch weld. What im not sure about is how the truck would run on stock gears with 35s. I can’t remember if I read of anyone that did that.

What about wheel bearings and CVs? Can they handle the extra weight applied to them?

Like a lot of things, I can’t remember if I read anything about those being changed. I’m sure the life expectancy would be reduced

i forgot to add that I would probably upgrade the brakes too.

Just be weary of adding unsprung weight - affects everything. Different platform but my old Expedition on 34" would go through wheel bearings every four months, so now I'm risk-adverse. But I also want 35s :D

Might be one of the dark secrets of 35s
Maybe I need to search more on that too. Wheel bearings are not fun to deal with… well finding a place to press them anyway. I don’t think they are an easy in/easy out thing.

    4 months is crazy though.
