This is my second thread on this subject. So, my Taco needs a muffler...what do I pick? I have read some threads on here and my takeaway is to spend the big bucks ($500+) and do the factory system. The factory one is on BO at the dealer and the Borla from ebay has a hefty shipping charge. That being said, I bought a Walker "Quiet Flow" but, what will it sound like??

Is there anyone with Walker experience? Thanks, in advance!

Walker stuff sucks anymore they rust so quickly, search for my write up of doing a 3rd gen take off. You can get them on fb marketplace really cheap.

3g exhaust is not a simple bolt on affair. Any muffler will rust if you don't buy the right one. I made my own 304 SS catback and it's been fine. I have a (Walker) Dynomax ss muffler.

It all depends on the dimensions of the muffler. The larger the muffler, the quieter it will be. I built mine using a Dynomax 17289 ultraflo muffler and it's about as loud as a TRD catback. Maybe slightly louder.

    LOL! Thanks!
Had the Walker installed, and it sounds factory! Very quiet, with just a faint low rumble. I love it! It's like driving a new truck, it evens feels like it has more power! In all the muffler and tail pipe was $120, then the shop installed a new front pipe to the cat with a new flange for $202! So, I got a new exhaust from the cat back, installed for $323! I'm happy God is good!

Ok, I had it installed. It is the Quiet flow SS. We'll see how it handles the rust belt! Thanks for the input!

Thanks for the feedback! The walker is on my Taco, we'll see how she rolls! I checked FB multiple times and did not have any luck.
